Hi Anna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started greeting in the beauty industry since I was 14 when I started getting into make up and also started learning about cosmetology in Brazil for me was kind of just for fun but I always liked the beauty field. When I was 17 years old I started something totally different I took flight attendant also in Brazil and started working in an airline company called Latam ended up not going to university in Brazil and being the disappointment of the family since I was approved in three scholarship programs so when I decided leave everything behind and move to United States. I was 19 years old at first I just wanted to visit and learn English but I ended saying. I fell in love with California I felt like here was home so i did one year of English classes after that I enrolled to college and started bachelor in administration at the mean time I worked in many place and many different areas like nanny, host in restaurants, personal assistant , some make up and hair freelance but never really worked in beauty field professionally even that most of my friend always said I was really good with that. Passing some time my best friend stated getting very popular as a hair stylist in LA and he started asking me often for help and he on this field so when I ended doing it I fell more in love I stated getting more deep on it and building my clients. Today I work full time as hair stylist I’m well known in West Hollywood. My best friend and I founded a extensions business with hight quality hair extensions and tools that we sell on different platforms. We also developed a new hair extensions method that we are teaching around US. We will soon started our intentional tour to teach hair stylist around the world. Also we just launched our new hair growth supplement this year.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not smooth at all. Let’s say just for being an immigrant is already extra hard since you started everything from the beginning. It’s like resetting life so you have to learn everything again language , culture , etc. it’s like you reborn again. Also it was not easy for me being 19 years old basically alone here. I struggled a lot as student far away from my family and friends. I also got married when I was 23 years old so was not a great decision so let’s say was definitely not a smooth road and I ended divorced. Many times I thought about giving up.
