Check Out Iron Gulla’s Story

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Iron Gulla again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Iron, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
So my name is Iron, I was born in Italy and grew up in Spain. At 18 I moved to US and I was living in LA for the past almost 9 years. Then I moved to Mexico city for one year and now I’m living in Copenaghen. I played basketball my whole life ( that’s why I moved to the states) and when that phase was over, I started training people in the gym. I always made music but once I stopped playing basketball is when I started taking it seriously.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
A lot has happened. After 9 years living in LA, I decided it was time for a change. I moved to Mexico City. Lived there for a year, and in summer of 2024, I went back to Europe to meet my mom and sisters, and my friends ( that I didn’t see for the past 9 years). After spending some time home, I decided to give one of my best friends a surprise in Bordeaux. After that I went to Paris and met with a friend from LA, and we visited different destinations in Europe. We were not sure about visiting Copenaghen or Austria because the flights were cheap, so we ended going to Copenaghen for no reason. We stayed there for 3 days and I liked it so much that I ended up never taking my flight back to Mexico and moving to Copenaghen. So now I’m here, studying Artificial Intelligence.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
I think there is not a perfect path. I try to don’t let fear define my choices. I moved to US because I felt I had to. I moved to Mexico because I felt I had to and I moved to Copenaghen because I felt it. A lot of times we try to find reasons to not do things and I’m the opposite. I find reasons to do things. To make decisions. A lot of times the logical choice is not that logical after all, because it follows what “society” makes you think you should be doing. I think as long as you are driving the wheels of your life you should be fine. I also think that is important to have an open mind. To try things. To don’t care about what other people think as long as you like what you are doing. From being an athlete, to being a personal trainer to now studying AI, I have been through a lot of processes. A lot of critics. A lot of “I don’t think is a good idea”. The people you love sometimes makes you wonder. But at the end of the day is your life. I can’t compare myself to my friends or family because I didn’t follow the same path. Our timings are different. Some of my friends/family members are about to get marry, some of them are still living with their parents, some of them are about to become parents. And then, theres me. I’m here because all the choices I made. And a lot of the time this path I choose is not easy. I don’t think it would be fun if it was easy. Don’t listen to people that are too comfortable to tell you to jump. I always jump, because the parachute always opens. So this is my thought process. This is what I’ve been doing for the past 12 years of my life. Jump. If not now , then when?
