Daily Inspiration: Meet Josh Blumenkranz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Blumenkranz

Hi Josh, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in New Jersey and New York I’ve been creative all of my life. I was into theater through high school to college. From there I wanted to get into film. Acting and Film in general has been a passion of mine. At the end of the day I’m just an actor just trying to make it like everyone else. I took acting classes with Robert Davanzo and he helped me learn discipline with acting. Over time you learn what works and what doesn’t. You figure out who you are as a person and go through life experiences. And now I’m at a place where I’m more creative than ever before. I’m surrounding myself with more creative people, and we help each other. And I’m taking more risks to get myself out there. It helps to move my story along.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Things haven’t been easy, but I’m trying to stay positive. There have been more setbacks than successes, but that’s just life. I’m taking small victories as they come. Losing my father and uncle within a year of each other was incredibly tough. I had to deal with my emotions and talk to others, which was hard for me. Surrounding myself with supportive people and finding ways to distract myself helped. Taking a moment to really feel my feelings was also important. I also try to make time for a good work-life balance. I love working out with my trainer, and the movie theater is my safe place. Movies are a great way to connect with others and feel less alone. They also help me relax and unwind. Finally, I make sure to get enough rest and sleep, because it really helps me feel better.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor and content creator. I’m proud of the people I’ve met over time. Actors, producers, directors. People I’ve idolized all my life and the friends that I enjoy having in my life. They are my support system and keep me going. I also just started a YouTube channel that is growing with each day and I’m proud of it. Because it makes people happy and it makes me feel so accomplished. That I’m doing good and expressing my opinions and thoughts. What sets me apart is my strong work ethic and my relentless attitude. I don’t quit and I’m straight into the point.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me most is my Mom. She’s why I’m in this world. And she’s the only family I have left. She is the person I’m doing this for. And she lets me do my thing and I appreciate her for that. My mother has worked so hard all my life and I try to do the same to keep up with her.
