Meet Sierra Haven of Aceofallfades

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Haven

Hi Sierra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It’s been a journey full of passion, perseverance, and learning. My story definitely started with my mom. Growing up, I was always inspired by watching her do hair shows and complete her cosmetology school. Seeing how transformative it was for her to help others feel confident through their looks had a huge impact on me. For me personally, I bought clippers five years before I ever picked them up. I was so intrigued by the idea of making people smile and feel like a whole new person as they walked out of my chair.

I started by immersing myself in everything I could, from practicing on friends and family to watching tutorials. Along the way, I faced challenges, but each one taught me something valuable. I realized that the key to success was not only honing my skills but also betting on myself and taking risks. In 2024, I enrolled in school to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time barber, determined to perfect my craft.

The road hasn’t always been easy, but it’s led me to incredible opportunities to grow and learn. My goal is to create generational wealth and leave a legacy that will inspire others. I’m grateful for every step of this journey, as it continues to shape me both as a barber and a person.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and the struggles have been real. Building a career and business from the ground up as an entrepreneur is incredibly challenging. It’s easy to romanticize the idea of being your own boss, but the reality is far from simple. One of the biggest struggles I faced early on came just three months after I started school. While I was in class at barber school, my car was stolen—along with all my brand-new barber equipment that I hadn’t even used yet. It was devastating, especially because I had invested so much into getting the right tools to start my journey.

I had to completely start over. It felt like a huge setback, but it also taught me how resilient I could be. I refused to let that moment define me or stop my progress. Instead of giving up, I took it as a challenge to push harder. It was tough to feel like you lost it all, but it reminded me that things don’t always go as planned, and sometimes you have to find a way to keep moving forward no matter what.

Through it all, I kept my eyes on the bigger picture. Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint, and there are moments when the path isn’t as clear as I’d like it to be. That was my first reminder that success isn’t about how fast you get there, it’s about the journey and the obstacles you overcome along the way. Losing everything in one moment was a test, but I kept my focus on the long-term goal: to build something meaningful and create a legacy.

Being an entrepreneur is about persistence, resilience, and the willingness to continue evolving. The road isn’t always going to be smooth, but it’s the bumps and challenges that help shape you into who you need to be. What matters most is that you keep pushing forward, learning, and growing—even when the journey gets tough.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few ways people can work with me, collaborate with me, and support me as I continue on my journey. I know that it can be hard to trust a new barber, especially when it comes to something as personal as your haircut. That’s why I make it a priority to create a comfortable, professional environment where my clients feel valued and confident in my work. If you’re looking for a fresh cut or a high-quality grooming experience, you can book an appointment with me, and I’ll make sure you leave my chair feeling your best and fully satisfied.

Collaboration is something I’m always open to as well. Whether you’re a fellow barber, a stylist, or someone in the beauty industry, I’m always looking for ways to learn from others and share ideas. We can collaborate on projects, events, or even share advice and techniques that can help us both grow. I believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting each other as we navigate our individual paths.

As for support, simply spreading the word about my work or recommending me to friends and family is a huge help. Social media is a great way to get the word out, so sharing my posts or tagging me in your stories means a lot.

The journey has been full of obstacles, but what keeps me going is knowing that I’m not alone. Whether it’s through word-of-mouth, booking a service, or collaborating on a project, every bit of support helps me keep pushing forward and working toward building something significant. Together, we can make an impact, and I’d love for others to be a part of it.
