Today we’d like to introduce you to Liv Woolf and Lucy Cohen.
Hi Liv and Lucy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For the past eight years, I (Liv) have been crafting charcuterie boards for friends and family, always receiving amazing reviews for my work. This past Thanksgiving, I took on my first large-scale project, creating a stunning grazing table for 30 people. The overwhelmingly positive feedback, paired with encouragement from my Instagram posts, inspired me to turn my passion into a business. Shortly after Thanksgiving, GrazeLA was born.
As a creative person, I (Liv) poured my energy into designing logos, building a website, and organizing initial opportunities by creating boards for friends and their families. I shared my progress with my roommate, Lucy, who brought a fresh perspective and asked key questions about pricing, business strategy, and operations. I (Liv) quickly realized that launching a successful business required collaboration, and together, we made GrazeLA a true partnership.
Since then, we have refined our pricing structure, designed business cards and flyers, and started booking events. What began as a personal passion has grown into a thriving business fueled by creativity, collaboration, and a shared love of bringing people together through beautifully curated grazing experiences.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been a challenging journey. One of the biggest struggles we’ve faced stemmed from the devastating fires at the beginning of January, as several events we had booked were cancelled. In response to this devastation, we offered our Grazing table services at cost for the rest of the month, with all additional proceeds being donated to fire relief efforts in Pacific Palisades, a town that holds a special place in our hearts.
Another significant challenge has been building our client base. In the beginning, we focused on doing events for free to create content and showcase our skills. This effort has paid off, as we’ve now secured clients like The Agency Development Group and expanded to include events for kids and holiday gatherings. Each step has helped us grow and refine our business, and we’re excited about what’s to come.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At GrazeLA, we specialize in thoughtfully curated grazing boards and tables that bring elegance and flavor to any occasion. Our spreads are crafted with delicious ingredients and a keen eye for artistic presentation. Based in Los Angeles, we offer the unique option of creating an unforgettable grazing experience right in your home or delivering custom boards tailored to your preferences. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, our spreads are fully customizable—whether you need nut-free, vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free options, or more. Our goal is to add flavor, beauty, and a personal touch to your table.
We take the most pride in our larger grazing tables. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles and awe from our clients as they admire these one-of-a-kind creations, designed specifically to their preferences. One of our favorite tables was a whimsical “kiddie” spread featuring jelly sandwiches and fruit cut into fun shapes. Watching the table quickly disappear as everyone enjoyed it was an unforgettable moment.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to inclusivity, especially with our kosher options. We’ve partnered with The Bacon Guys, known for their delicious beef-based bacon, as they prepare to open a kosher Italian deli in the Pico-Robertson area. We’re excited to collaborate with them, incorporating their kosher meats and vegan cheeses into our offerings. In addition to our kosher options, we also create a variety of specialized tables, making GrazeLA a standout choice for any grazing experience.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
At GrazeLA, our mission is to create more than just beautiful grazing boards—we aim to foster connection, celebrate diversity, and support our community with every table we design. We take pride in our commitment to inclusivity, offering customizable options like kosher, nut-free, vegetarian, and gluten-free spreads to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience. Sustainability is also at the heart of what we do, from sourcing local ingredients to using eco-friendly materials in our designs. We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with incredible partners like The Bacon Guys, bringing innovative options like kosher meats and vegan cheeses to our offerings. What also sets us apart is our ability to tailor every grazing experience to our clients’ unique vision, whether it’s a corporate event, a themed party, or a family gathering. As we continue to grow, we’re excited to expand our collaborations and bring even more creative, customized grazing opportunities to Los Angeles.
