Meet Becca Aronoff of Aronoff Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Aronoff

Hi Becca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, my pink plastic film camera was one of my most treasured possessions—I loved capturing the world around me, even if I sometimes cut off heads in the frame. In high school, I taught myself Photoshop, blending images into creative compositions that won me first place at our school art fair. Later, in college, I studied Photography as an elective, learning the magic of developing film in a darkroom.

For years, photography was my creative outlet, but I always dreamed of turning it into something more. When the world shut down in 2020, my husband encouraged me to take the leap and start my own photography business. I immersed myself in online classes on photography, posing, business management, and website design. To gain experience, I offered free practice sessions for friends, slowly building both my confidence and my portfolio.

Before long, I began marketing family and portrait photography, and as my skills and experience grew, so did my ambition. I found myself drawn to the magic of weddings and elopements: the raw emotions, the adventure, the once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Every step of this journey has been a learning experience, pushing me to grow as both an artist and a storyteller. Through all the challenges, one thing has never changed—my passion for capturing authentic, meaningful moments. I can’t wait to see where this path takes me next!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I started Aronoff Photography because I love capturing moments that people will treasure forever. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing how much my clients cherish their photos—it reminds me why I do what I do.

However, I quickly learned that running a photography business is about so much more than just taking photos. In fact, capturing beautiful images is only about 5% of my job! The rest is a balancing act—I’m not just a photographer, but also a business manager, website designer, social media strategist, customer service representative, and head of marketing and advertising. Learning how to juggle all of these roles has been one of my biggest challenges, and it’s an ongoing journey.

Despite the challenges, every moment is worth it. Seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when they see their photos makes all the hard work behind the scenes worthwhile.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m not just a photographer—I’m a storyteller, a guide, and someone who truly believes that your wedding day should be an experience as unforgettable as your love. I want to capture your wedding in the way that best tells your love story, whether that means hiking to a secluded alpine lake, exchanging vows on a windswept cliffside, or celebrating with family and friends at a stunning venue. Whether you’re planning a grand adventure or a more traditional celebration, my goal is to document your story in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and uniquely you.

What sets me apart? I don’t just show up with a camera—I help you craft an experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime. From location scouting and timeline planning to ensuring you feel comfortable in front of the camera, I’m with you every step of the way. If you dream of eloping somewhere truly epic—maybe on a glacier, in the middle of the desert, or even by helicopter to a remote mountain peak—I’ll help bring that vision to life. My background in adventure photography means I’m comfortable in rugged, off-the-beaten-path locations, but no matter where your wedding takes place, I focus on capturing not just how it looks, but how it feels—the laughter, the quiet moments, and the overwhelming joy of your day. Because your love story deserves more than just beautiful photos—it deserves to be truly lived.

How do you think about happiness?
Capturing real, meaningful moments makes me truly happy. There’s something magical about freezing time—whether it’s the look in a couple’s eyes as they exchange vows, the wind catching a bride’s veil on a mountaintop, or the laughter shared between two people who are completely in their element. Knowing that the photos I take will be cherished for generations fills me with a sense of purpose and joy.

Beyond photography, adventure and connection bring me happiness. Exploring new places, hiking to breathtaking views, and experiencing the beauty of nature alongside the people I love remind me why I do what I do. Life is about experiences, and I feel incredibly lucky that my job allows me to capture them for others.
