Hi Pilar, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was Born and Raised in Los Angeles, specifically, in Los Feliz (just miles from Hollywood) and naturally fell into the entertainment industry. At 14, I began as a print and commercial model, then makeup artist and actress. While pursuing all of those avenues, I found myself in the circuit of TV Hosting. Right before I was given the opportunity to write and produce my own TV show, I decided I wanted to open up a boutique production company specializing in photo shoots, tv + film + video production, content creation, and event production. There was such a need for these services at the time, that my business was growing and evolving. However, as the industry shifted, and productions started slowing down, I found myself booking jobs on the east coast, and ended up moving to Pittsburgh, then Miami, putting my production company here in Los Angeles on hold and taking advantage of the film tax credits outside of California.
When I moved back to LA, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, and 8 years ago decided to relaunch Wolfgang & Associates, LLC to include more services with the expertise I had gained through the many years working in production management, event operations, and high quality productions. Today, Wolfgang has serviced clients in cities beyond LA, including New York City, Atlanta, South Florida, and Internationally Bali, Indonesia and London, England. Our services include; Freelance Producing, Video Production and Editing, Photo and Video Shoots, Event Production, TV Hosting & Moderation, Public/Keynote Speaking, Makeup Artistry & Grooming and multimedia services like social media management, Image Consulting and Executive hiring specializing in building production teams.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been anything but smooth. At times, I can hardly believe just how rough the road has been. Yet, through it all, the good has always managed to outweigh the bad. During my first attempt at running a production company, I faced a storm of public scrutiny over my personal life. That season left me with no work, no leads, and no support. I was a single mother of two, piecing together a life with temp jobs that paid $16 an hour.
That chapter shaped me in ways I’m still discovering. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about creating authentic stories that shine a light on struggle, resilience, and survival. It’s also why I launched my podcast, To Make It Podcast with Pilar. I believe everyone has a story—the kind that outsiders can never truly see.
I’ve learned never to judge or assume because what people saw of me—a radiant smile and a joyful spirit—was often a mask for the silent battles I fought within. My struggles taught me that survival is its own kind of art, and those lessons fuel the stories I tell today.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I lived on the last street before the Greek Theatre, and every time there was a concert, I’d sit outside to hear the music and pretend I was performing too!
