Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabian Guillen
Hi Fabian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For Fabian Gee Media, LLC., there’s a few things that brought us to where we are today. The owners are me, Fabian, and my cofounder and life partner, Heather. I have been mastering my photography skills for over 14 years, now and I always dreamt of making a living with my photography skills. I’ve done odd jobs within that time, from portrait shots and graduation photos, to fun street photography and nature photos. I’ve been able to develop a lot of cool skills within photography, including the ability to develop my own film photos and having a “photographer’s eye” where I’m constantly evaluating how to translate what I’m seeing into a beautiful or interesting image.
I had been working construction jobs and Heather had been working in education as a substitute teacher. There was a time where work had fallen through for both of us, so we took it as a sign for us to pursue our dreams of creating our own business and being able to accommodate work that not only fuels us but keeps us passionate— so we decided to go full force and create Fabian Gee Media, LLC.
We combined our talents to create a good flow between the two of us. Heather has been doing photography for the past 2 years, but also has a background in the beauty industry with a cosmetology license and also in the fashion industry briefly, as a model. With her background and mine— photography and marketing— we were able to build the business we have today. We’re so happy with where we’ve come and we can’t wait to keep growing for the rest of our careers, because you never truly stop expanding your knowledge and skills.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s definitely been some rough patches starting a brand new photography company. Having to build a brand that best suits both our aesthetic and personality wasn’t too hard, but it definitely made us have to step back and see what we really wanted. Learning web design and putting together schedules and planning was such a huge challenge to figure out, especially for me, being such a go with the flow person. I had to figure out how to plan and Heather had to figure out how to do web design. I think there’s been a lot of progress we’ve made, though, just by refusing to give up and pushing ourselves to keep learning and growing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are Lifestyle Photographers. We are here for all your photography needs, from Engagements and Weddings/Elopements, all the way to the start of their families. We want to capture the most authentic moments of our clients’ lives. We’re mainly known for our candid photographs— capturing glimpses of the moments of inner beauty everyone brings to this world. We’re most proud of being able to provide very intimate experiences for our clients and allowing them to have their stories shared in their most authentic way.
We also are extremely proud of the customer service we provide to our clients. We roll out the red carpet because everyone who hires us as photographers helps us keep doing what we absolutely love to do, so we want to show our thanks in the form of above and beyond customer care. We are grateful for all of our clients who have believed in us and have been wonderful to work with and we can’t wait for the opportunities we will have with our future clients!
Any big plans?
We want to be able to travel all around the world with our company. From distant elopements and beautiful locations to amazing luxury weddings, we want to be able to travel to countries and experience some amazing locations all while capturing them on camera. We want to go basically anywhere we can— from the mountains to the coasts of the world, to beautiful islands and other locations that would be indescribable if they weren’t preserved forever in photos.
We like having unrealistic goals for ourselves. One of those unrealistic goals is to be able to help other photographers (and creatives!) achieve some unrealistic goals in the future as well. We want to be able to create a network and support for creatives as well, where sharing the generosity is the priority. We want to create a group where creatives can get together, and potentially a future co-op space where creatives can come work together on their artistic crafts. We also want to create a space where people can try out different avenues of creating, allowing them the opportunity to at least try new creative endeavors they might not have been able to before.

- Elopements starting at $950/3 hours + travel fees
- Portraits (family, couples, single) $350/ 2.5 hours
- 35mm Film add on- $100 per roll
