Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Habib
Hi Aisha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey in public relations began during college when I interned at various organizations in Los Angeles around 2014. Immersing myself in the entertainment industry, I quickly learned the intricacies of publicity and the fast-paced world behind the scenes. While I gained invaluable insights and hands-on experience, I soon realized that entertainment alone wasn’t my true passion- I wanted my work to have a deeper impact.
Fast forward, to today, I’m a passionate PR strategist committed to empowering female entrepreneurs, creatives, and brands in the lifestyle, wellness, and beauty spaces. My mission is to amplify their stories, increase visibility, and help them reach their full potential. With expertise in media relations, storytelling, social media, influencer marketing, and brand collaborations, I craft dynamic strategies that not only elevate brand awareness but also cultivate meaningful, lasting connections.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. Early in my career, I faced the dilemma of choosing between working as an in-house PR professional, focusing on one organization, or taking the agency route, where would I juggle multiple projects at once. I made my fair share of mistakes along the way, from learning what truly creates authentic connections to understanding the core elements of impactful stories. I also had to figure out how to set clear boundaries with clients and, most importantly, how to be intentional about the projects I take on – choosing only those that align with my values and vision. Finding that balance and clarity took tim, but it shaped me into the PR professional I am today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in serving women of color who historically been underrepresented and misrepresented in the media. My passion for this work is deeply rooted in my personal experiences and ethnic background- I’m half Pakistani and Mexican, which gives me a unique lens through which I view the world. Growing up and attending networking events, I rarely saw women who looked like me. Our stories, our art, and our faces were often absent from mainstream media, and when they were present, they were too often villainized or distorted.
It’s incredibly important to me to change this narrative by creating spaces where our voices are heard and our perspectives are celebrated. I’m committed to amplifying authentic, multidimensional stories that reflect the richness of our cultures and experiences in Western media. What sets me apart is not only my deep understanding of these nuances but also my unwavering passion to bridge the gap between underrepresented communities and the public platforms they deserve.
I’m most proud of building a career and a platform dedicated to this mission, empowering women of color to take ownership of their stories and helping them share their narratives with confidence, authenticity, and impact.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is creating space for authentic, underrepresented voices to be seen and heard. Growing up as a half Pakistani and half Mexican- I didn’t often see people who looked like me or shared my experiences in mainstream media. That absence shaped my understanding of the power of storytelling and representation. It’s important to me that women of color, creatives, and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to tell their stories on their terms, in a way that is genuine and impactful.
Beyond my professional work, I also value integrity, connection, and staying true to my purpose. Every project I take on reflects my commitment to building bridges between diverse communities and the platforms that need to hear their voices. This mission fuels my passion for PR and keeps me grounded in the knowledge that the work I do contributes to a more inclusive and equitable media landscape.
