Hi Linda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey began in a completely different world: the legal field. I started as a calendar clerk and legal assistant then worked my way up to head of billing. For years, I balanced the grind of a steady job while feeling a creative spark inside me that was just waiting to be unleashed. In 2017, during a conversation with my dad, I discovered my fascination with lash extensions. It felt like a calling—a way to combine artistry with my desire to make others feel confident and beautiful.
I juggled learning the ropes of the beauty industry while still working full-time. After my 9-5 and during the weekends I would travel to people’s homes and set up a massage bed, a Glamcor and lash supplies. Then, in 2020, when the world seemed to pause during the pandemic, I knew it was time to go all in. With the encouragement of my loved ones I pursued my esthetician license. After completing the program, I set up shop in a cozy suite and began turning my dream into reality. But I didn’t stop there, I pursued a waxing position at European Wax Center to refine my craft and work in a busy salon setting. After a year there I felt I had a good understanding of how to manage my own clients and salon suite so I said goodbye to those clients and the esthetician friends I had made there.
Through it all, I stayed true to what matters most: helping people feel their best. I built The Empress Artistry on integrity, creativity, and perseverance, striving to make every client feel seen, confident, and gorgeous.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not a smooth road. I am the first entrepreneur in my family so I didn’t have anyone to turn to at first when I came face to face with a road block. Every day brings a new challenge but I have gotten better at dealing with things as they come and turning to mentors that I have made through my journey.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Empress Artistry. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a solopreneur based in Huntington Beach, Ca. My specialties are Lashes, Brows and Waxing. I offer lash extensions, lash lift, and lash tint. I am an expert at brow shaping, brow tinting, lamination and also will be offering microblading and shading in my Whittier location. I am most known for lash extensions and brow shaping. What sets me apart from others is I strive to customize each service to my clients anatomy. Every lash extension service begins with a consultation where I ask what is the client’s perfect set. We talk about curls, diameters, length and density of their perfect set. Then I analyze their face and make a recommendation for what kind of shape will best fit their features. That could be anywhere between a doll eye, cat eye or reverse cat eye, etc. When it comes to brow services, each service begins with what is called “mapping” or the measurement of features in order to determine the perfect brow shape of the client. The Empress Artistry is a professional, luxurious but welcoming atmosphere to all!
