Today we’d like to introduce you to Szilvia Szita
Hi Szilvia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved art as a kid, and later I studied graphic design and architecture in Hungary. After my studies I moved to Germany where I did my tattoo apprenticeship. Before I could work in a tattoo shop there I already decided to move to the US. I moved to Miami first, but because my weak English and lack of shop experience I worked in a restaurant until my English got better. Once I got the chance to work on a tattoo shop, I was just focusing on building my portfolio and move to a better tattoo shop. After 3 years in Fl I moved to SoCal where I finally got the chance to work in non traditional, fine line tattoo shop where I met Morgan my boss. After working with her for a few years we made the decision to open a second shop together. I can’t believe I’m going to be the co owner for our new shop in Costa Mesa. I’m really grateful for Morgan for the support we have from all or our artists, friends and clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
– moving a lot
-language barrier
– being far from my family
– fund the right environment to work where we support each other and make each other better
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a tattoo artist who specializes in fine line tattooing and micro realism. Even as a kid I really enjoyed working on small pencil drawings and getting lost in the tiny details.
Fine line and the micro tattoos made it possible that people get smaller but detailed pieces which can give a more airy, not so heavy and daintier look.
I really enjoy doing any animal and human portraits, movie scenes and landscapes. But my favorites are the pet portraits as I am a dog mom myself.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Of course at some point i learned from every other artist i had the chance to work with.
My boss, friend and now business partner Morgan Sierra is an incredible good tattoo artist and painter. She helped me a lot as an artist and everything I have learned about the business side of this industry it’s because of her.

I also participated in a one o one mentorship program with Jake earlier. And his advices, teaching method definitely helped me a lot. He is probably the most incredible tattoo artist in OC I know and I’m grateful I could learn from him. @jankyjake_tattoos
