Meet Viola Choice of Chosen Official in Downtown/ Bay Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Viola Choice.

Viola, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am 23 years old originally from the Bay Area. I am a business owner, business consultant, college graduate, financial coach and good person. My business, Chosen Official LLC, is a motivational clothing company created to not only bring you style but to motivate you to turn your test into your testimony. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers aka “The Chosen Ones”.

Growing up, I had a wonderful family but never a role model. No one in my family attended college and I didn’t have millionaire parents but everybody in my family were hustlers! My dad is an entrepreneur and my mom has worked the same job for 38 years. I wanted to make them proud so at 17, I moved to Atlanta. I went to college there and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Clark Atlanta, becoming the first person in my family to go to college. While at CAU, I started Chosen as a stress reliever from the death of my boyfriend. I’ve always been an overachiever and a firm believer in never giving up. I hope to inspire others to turn their pain into their purpose and to reach for the stars no matter where they come from.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been far from smooth but I’m so glad that this is the road I’ve taken. I feel like I’ve been through it all from heartbreak, rejection, disappointment, depression, failure, insecurity, being broke… but one thing I’m proud of is I never let it break me and I never let it make me into a bitter person. I used everything I went through to make me strong and well rounded. I’m good to everyone because you never know what they’re going through just like nobody knew what I was going through.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Chosen Official – what should we know?
Chosen Official is a motivational clothing company with a platform to inspire individuals to recognize their light within a dark tunnel. The Chosen collection is where culture meets fashion – curated to inspire the Chosen one to embrace their divine path by uncovering their purpose. We are more than a brand, we are hope.

We specialize in unisex high fashion streetwear and apparel. We offer everything from sweatsuits, to slides, to dresses. We are known for the comfort and style of our bold pieces. I am most proud of our growth and evolution as a company. I love the inspiration we give to people through our clothing. We go the extra mile. Some of our great achievements include our first fashion show earlier this year at Tyler Perry Studios / Artlanta in Atlanta, GA. We have also been in two stores. I give Chosen my all and always will. I pray over my Business everyday. The work is just beginning and God is behind it all!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe resilience, dedication, persistence and faith are most important. No matter what you go through, you can never give up. You have to use it as fuel. Everyday you have to want success and create good habits. Faith can take you anywhere but you have to work HARD! Have faith in yourself, have faith in what you’re doing.
