Today we’d like to introduce you to Otis L. Milton.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was in my first year in community college, I and still undecided of what I wanted to major in and what I wanted to build a career in. I started to think of industries that I felt would be around no matter the market or time. Housing was one thing that I knew would be around until the end of time. People will also need somewhere to live and bigger than that property ownership is one of the best vehicles to building Generational wealth. One of my close friends and mentor was a Real Estate Broker he was able to coach me and assist me into getting my Real Estate license. I jumped in head first ready to build a career in Real Estate. Sounds great right? It was much more challenging than I ever anticipated and plenty of times I wanted to give up, but I never did. I stayed the course and began to have some success the more I focused on being disciplined and adding value. Today I am a licensed Real Estate Agent, Property Manager and Mortgage Loan Officer.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not at all. But that is best part because it builds you up. Once I got started in the industry I was excited but had no clue on exactly how to build a successful business of my own. Honestly the struggles early on came from a lack of discipline. Which is often the case. Continuing to be disciplined and going after your goals is key!

I am now a licensed Loan Officer. I specialize in helping Families build wealth through homeownership. Fact! The majority of wealth that one will have is in the equity of their home. That is what makes me love what I do. I am not only helping someone get a loan to purchase a home but I am helping them set a solid foundation for their family.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking forward to obtaining my Brokers License. Something I wanted to do for some time. Creating more Wealth for families.
