Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennia Fredrique Aponte.
Jennia is an award-winning writer, director and comic born in Gary, Indiana. After studying theater at Columbia University in Chicago, Jennia moved to LA and has held recurring and series regular roles on: Noah’s Arc (Logo), City Guys (NBC), Delores and Jermaine with Whoopi Goldeberg (ABC) According to Him & Her (BET), Passions (NBC) My Wife and Kids (ABC), Cuts (CW) and the Hughley’s (CW) just to name a few.
She hosts the new hit show Beyond The Talent on Amazon Prime features talented artists like: Kevin Hart, T-pain, Akon, Far East movement, Estelle, Les Twins, Miguel and many more.
Jennia and her husband Sol Aponte are a producing/directing team and owners of the prestigious production company Full Frequency Media. Together, they have created and developed Beyond the Talent as well as the award winning short films: First Kiss in Color, Sacred Heart and 90 DAYS.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth? Well, let’s see, I’m a black female in a white male, dominated world but there is nothing else I’d rather do. I think I would be struggling if I was in a cubicle making someone else rich.
The key to my success? Never giving up, believing in my success and loving what I do.
