Meet Jaime McFaden of jaimemcfaden.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime McFaden.

Jaime, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got into fitness after my dad passed away 10 years ago – but it wasn’t until 5 years ago that I made it my career. I started teaching classes and personal training and then landed a job working for Jillian Michaels as a master trainer. From then – went on to create hundreds of digital content in videos and eventually became a health coach. Now – work as a full-time trainer for the innovative audio based fitness app, lead wellness retreats and am health coach to clients in California.

Has it been a smooth road?
Fitness wasn’t my first career so it was definitely a struggle starting out in my twenties unlike some of the people I was working around who started much younger. I have always had an entrepreneur mind and it was challenging in the fitness industry once I found out I was pregnant – deciding how to continue with all that I was doing was tough. I ended up creating a whole line of prenatal and postnatal workouts. I have been blessed to work with the best in the industry!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the jaimemcfaden.com story. Tell us more about the business.
My motto and tagline is a healthy family is a happy family. I come from a big Greek family where food is at the center of all that we do. I love to eat, I love BALANCE. I am all about training my clients to have a strong mind which in turn will help them get a stronger body. I have been involved in many companies with pre/postnatal fitness programs. I have a blog and now am a master trainer for Aaptiv, www.aaptiv.com, which is the latest all audio fitness app.

I lead wellness retreats in beautiful places like Hawaii and I am known for my family fitness techniques and especially for something Called the word of the workout. I give a word before each workout that clients are encouraged to focus on all day! I create holistic programs that are fun, equipment free and blend multiple types of exercise to create a well-balanced mind and body.

I am most proud of the global market I have reached so far. I get emails from clients who are living in other places all over the world who have changed their lives working with me. I believe in finding small ways to change habits. I have curated simple steps for clients which will help them create small changes which add to big ones.

Most of all being a single mother – I have found ways to remain healthy, work full time, bring my daughter to work on many days and teach others how to do the same!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the focus of fitness shifting from an aesthetic standpoint to mental wellness. I see audio fitness and podcasts growing and even virtual reality taking place.

I see health coaching, health retreats and family fitness being more popular. I see kid fitness and fun events around fitness more and more!
