Today we’d like to introduce you to Iris Klein.
Iris, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My mother studied Shakespeare with Phillip Burton when I was 12 years old. Philip invited my mother and me to watch Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in a 30 seat theater reading poetry and prose to each other. They were so beautiful and so in love. I was watching magic before my eyes. It was then I decided I wanted to be an actress. From that point on I studied acting and watched movies and read lots of play and went to the theater. I was in love with it all. I lived in New York City and worked off Broadway and worked in movies. I moved to California and worked with John Cassavetes and worked in television and film. I got a call to coach an actress I knew and she booked a job. That was the beginning of my teaching and coaching. My mother had been teaching my whole life and so it is a natural progression. I co-wrote and co-directed a feature film. I love it all. I also paint and sculpt
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am understanding that we must believe and be positive in order to manifest what we desire. Then we can equally give and receive. I can no longer get stuck in the problem. I have read that the thought creates the word, creates the action. I know this is true so I have stopped viewing obstacles and challenges as obstacles and challenges. It’s a new day… I take kundalini yoga which is a wonderful practice for me and I highly recommend it to connect with the breath, the body, mind and spirit.
Iris Klein – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I teach acting. I also teach human connection. I help people to connect, to be with, and there is a lot of self-discovery that happens when you look into another’s eyes in the present moment and experience them. The way I work is to connect people to the heart, to their feelings. When you speak from the heart, everything you say is true. Sanford Meisner developed a technique. My mother and I deepened the human connection aspect of the work, it can be challenging to open the heart and be vulnerable. This is the work that I do that is so valuable to me… World peace starts with you two. This work is invaluable for businesses to collaborate and connect and for team building as well as for actors.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My purpose in life is to put people in touch with their feelings. Whether it is through my work as a fine artist or in the classroom directing and teaching people how to be with … I feel that their lives are richer for the experience and that enriches my life greatly.

I have known Iris and Janet most my adult life. Their teachings about acting is more about living. I have never gone into class and not walked out with something, profound, different perspective…one liner quotes each may have said that I remember to this day. But their main basis always comes from love, the power of love. Iris comes from warm light and her mother,Janet comes only of truth.
How blessed I am to have them grace my path as my journey continues.
