Meet Gregory Zarian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Zarian.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was a sales associate at Nordstrom when a writer from “Days of Our Lives” came up to me and asked if I was an actor. I naively said yes, even though my training and experience suggested otherwise. Next thing I knew, I had a recurring role on the number one daytime soap opera. After a few months, I was written off because I didn’t take the job as seriously as I could have. I was very young and untrained. Lesson learned, I couldn’t simply get by on my looks alone. Immediately after, I was scouted by an Italian modeling agent and spent the next few years modeling in Paris, Munich, Zurich and Milan. It was during this time that I realized that I wanted to continue to pursue acting, and in order to do that, I had to get serious about my career and start training. I began studying improv, acting, commercials and everything in-between to fully realize my potential as an actor. So many years later, I am grateful to have continued to work consistently in film, tv and commercials. I have the best job in town.

Please tell us about your art.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
I think the biggest challenge is staying true to who you are as an artist and not trying to be what you think someone wants you to be. The greatest gift and talent we have is bringing ourselves to our art.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
You can visit my website at www.gregoryzarian.com. And you can catch me in the second season of Starz’s “Counterpart,” BET’s “The Family Business,” season 6 of “Venice the Series” (filming in May 2019) and in the feature films “The Choir Director,” “Woman on the Edge,” and “Painter,” all of which will be released in the spring of 2019.
