Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Roe.
Christopher, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Iowa. My dad moved us out to Los Angeles in 2007. My father works in the entertainment industry. It was always a passion of mine to get involved somehow. How I got into photography, I was influenced by my father and Bart Mastronardi. I love making a visual story using my love for photography as my art form, enjoying capturing stories that stirs up the viewer’s emotions.
Has it been a smooth road?
I wouldn’t say smooth but a tough learning experience. If I had to pick struggles, it would be how to use light to capture my vision and also learning to create my voice in this art form amongst many, which I’m still learning about. But I’m okay with the choices I make because they lead me to my own understanding of my art.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with ChristopherRoePhotography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I personally love doing headshots, portraits in the way I know best. What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come with just a little time I’ve had. Working alongside Bart Mastronardi has pushed me and I have fallen 100 times but he continues to make me a better person and even better photographer every day I owe him for everything
I don’t think anything sets me apart. I believe that I learn from everyone I just add my own style and the story it takes to create it.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best thing about L.A. is that I’m close to everything and how the city its self is thriving artistically. I even love the traffic which gives me time to think while sitting in my car.
