Conversations with Pepper B

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pepper B.

Hi Pepper B, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m the Founder of Palace One Eleven. I started my journey with crystals and wellness many years ago. I never realized that over the past 12 years, I was preparing myself for these current moments. We never really do see what’s ahead. Working in the beauty industry for 13 years as an Executive. My career required a lot of time traveling and insane hours. Working in a high-stress level environment. I used crystals as a means to keep myself uplifted and balanced on a day to day basis. Crystal healing has allowed me to overcome grief, helped me improve anxiety and depression as well as find happiness and calmness in difficult situations. They became a permanent staple in my daily living. Understanding crystal energy just came very natural to me. Working in the beauty industry, I worked with brands that were very ingredients conscious. I naturally gravitated more towards a natural and holistic remedies.

During a transitional period in my life, the company I worked for close down in my region. My position was cut, and I was at a huge roadblock trying to navigate through. This only added bigger stress factors to my life. I worked freelance for myself momentarily while trying to navigate through life changes and shortly after the pandemic hit. Palace One Eleven was created as the country faced such a low tempo. Without a doubt, we witnessed the financial and economical impact of this virus with very little light on the mental state of the people. This time it became evident that the world needed different ways to combat stress, anxiety, depression and alternatives to elevate positive energy and mental wellness. I wanted to create atmosphere where people felt safe and were educated on crystal healing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This was not an easy road but the valuable lessons that came along with this journey are unmatched. I learned to trust myself. Bet on myself and always remember to take considerable risks. I am a firm believer that when we miss a lesson, we are meant to learn life courses will allow us to revisit the challenge. At some point, we will recognize the mistake to receive the lesson or growth opportunity and apply where we see fit. It took dealing with great stress levels and anxiety to recognize what I didn’t want to tolerate career-wise. This challenged me to push myself to pursue myself and prioritize my peace of mind.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I like to consider myself a crystal computer. I have a deep connection to them. I can suggest crystals for people with my eyes closed. I have personally experienced the power of crystals which is how and why Palace One Eleven was created. The Palace One Eleven mission is to deliver products and education on how to improve your day to day wellness especially for those who may not have the resources readily available at their fingertips. Growing up in New York, Brooklyn more specifically, treating mental health wellness was known to be frowned upon. We are now in a time that allows us to unapologetically cater to our mental health needs using different techniques like meditation, crystal work, yoga, chakra balancing and reiki. Crystal healing has been a very big part of my personal healing and self-discovery. I handpick everything that is carried in order to maintain the integrity of what is sold.

I wanted to be a part of shifting the prospective and understanding of crystals and their energy as well as create a different shopping experience when it came to purchasing crystals. Being a crystal shopper, I found I didn’t walk away with the information I needed at all times. There was a lack of excitement or passion behind what was being sold. Crystals have incredible energy and I believe the person introducing them to you should mirror that energy. What I enjoy most about my day to day is creating deeply. Taking the images of crystals to get my audience to see and feel what I do. Hand making the crystal jewelry. I also get to tie in the things that I love into the website and images. Graffiti, urban landscape, nature & 90’s hip-hop. I am still growing, however, one of my highlights since cultivating this space I gained 500 customers in my first year of business and provide crystals to clients in US, Canada, Germany and Virgin Islands.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
As cliche as it sounds, “Nothing that is meant for you will ever pass you by.”

We are all creators to some degree. Transform your challenges to something worth creating. Intentionally use your hardships, experiences or times of adversity to impact someone else. We don’t learn things to hoarder information the real gift is sharing the valuable lessons you’ve learned with someone in need.
