Check Out Kevin Fong’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Fong.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi my name is Kevin Fong and I am a film composer and music producer based in LA. It wasn’t easy at all to be a composer and writing music to make ends meet. Before relocating to LA to pursue my career in the music industry, I spent 4 years studying in Berklee College of Music majoring in Film Scoring and a music production and writing major. There’s where I explore my own musical journey and learn the most from classes to just having a conversation with someone around there.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been an easy path. Working hard is my only way to overcome obstacles. If you aren’t able to overcome it, then you will have to try even harder and smarter. I’ve learned to always be true to yourself, and don’t compare. There is no right or wrong, it’s just being yourself that matters the most. Everyone is a storyteller, and I tell my stories through music.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a music composer and producer. I mainly write music for films, TV, documentaries and multimedia. I also do music arrangement and production for my singer-songwriter clients. I am really passionate about hardware synthesis and electronic music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck, I believe that God always has a plan ahead for us and it will be the best for us“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
