Story & Lesson Highlights with Asia Arnett of Los Angeles

Asia Arnett shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Asia, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are dedicated to centering myself through journaling, breathwork, and mindful movement—whether that’s somatic exercises, stretching, or dancing. I also focus on cultivating gratitude during this time. Sometimes, I sip tea as I write. I tune into my intuition and listen to what my body needs in the present moment. Once I complete this grounding routine, I check my emails and then go greet my family—occasionally making breakfast as well.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Yes. I’m Asia, a Certified Holistic Wealth Coach, Lightworker, Mom of three, business woman and founder of Innovative Dream Academy—a sacred space created for high-achieving, spiritually conscious women who feel burned out, stuck, or misaligned, and are ready to reconnect with their purpose and live with deeper fulfillment.

My work is rooted in over a decade of diverse entrepreneurial experience. I’ve worn many hats—from chef and successful catering business owner, to co-founder of a vibrant Hookah lounge, to co-creator of a clean vegan beauty brand. These ventures brought incredible wins and inevitable challenges, and through it all, I learned the real meaning of success—and its limits.

My personal transformation led me into the world of mindfulness, spirituality, and intentional living. And in that journey, I found my true calling: guiding other women to cultivate a life of holistic wealth—where their business, finances, well-being, and soul are all in harmony.
True wealth, to me, is a holistic experience—one that nurtures your spirit, sustains your well-being, and supports the life you’re truly meant to live.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I wasn’t enough. I carried a deep awareness of who I was and had big dreams, even at a young age. But somewhere along the way, whether through the words of others or the weight of unspoken expectations, I started to question my worth. I often felt like I had to shrink myself to be accepted—like being my true self wasn’t safe or welcomed.

There were times I felt like an imposter, pretending to be who I thought I needed to be just to belong. I judged myself harshly, constantly measuring who I was against who I thought I should be. Looking back, I realize how hard I was on my younger self—expecting perfection, silencing my voice, and doubting my value.

Now, I know I am enough and worthy. I’ve learned that my authenticity is my strength, and that being true to myself is more powerful and attracting than trying to fit in to societal norms. I hold space for my younger self with compassion and love, knowing she did the best she could with what she knew. All of my experiences from then to now made me who I am. I am so tuned in and connected to my higher self. My lived experience is my super power and how I help others.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
People often talk about the fear of failure, but for me, it was the fear of success that held me back the most. I’ve always been resilient and confident in my vision—especially when it came to my career and entrepreneurial path. But deep down, I questioned whether I was truly ready for the responsibility that success brings.

I worried about whether I could handle it all—manage the pressure, make smart financial decisions, stay grounded, and still show up as the best version of myself. I would overthink every possibility, running through all the ways things could spiral if I didn’t get it “right.” It wasn’t a lack of ambition—it was a fear of being overwhelmed by the very life I was working so hard to build. Because with success comes visibility. Expectations. Accountability. The need to sustain momentum. And part of me was afraid that if I did rise, I might not be able to stay there—or worse, that I’d lose myself trying to. There’s a certain safety in staying small. It’s familiar, and success meant stepping into the unknown, and that felt vulnerable in ways I wasn’t prepared to admit.

Over time, I’ve learned that fear doesn’t go away—it just evolves. So now, if I feel fear is present, I meet it with curiosity instead of avoidance. I remind myself that I’m allowed to have feelings but not to allow those feelings turn into negative projections and to go with flow. What’s for me is already mine.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
One cultural value I protect at all costs is my spirituality and holistic healing, deeply rooted in my ancestral traditions. This practice is sacred and magical to me. My ancestors used herbs not only as medicine but also for protection, prosperity, and spiritual connection. I was blessed with that same wisdom and a deep bond with the Earth, passed down through my lineage and guided by my spiritual ancestors.

I continue to use herbs in my own life and within my family—as my ancestors did for healing, for intention, and for honoring the divine. This isn’t just a tradition; it’s a way of life, a sacred responsibility. I’m committed to passing this knowledge on to my children, so that this ancestral wisdom continues to live and thrive in future generations.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I surrender to the flow and listen to my intuition. Surrendering means releasing attachment to ideals and outcomes—it means accepting the present moment for what it is. That doesn’t mean I have to like it. Sometimes, life brings storms I can’t control, and all I can do is choose to sit through the turbulence peacefully. Without judgement and the infamous “Why me?” I instead ask “Why not me?”

I’ve been through heavy experiences that once felt unbearable—but I know it’s a false reality, an illusion lead by fear and the ego. When I stay rooted—connected to the Earth, to my breath, to my intuition, and to my spirit guides—I know I am safe and I am always protected. The ego quiets down, and in that stillness, I have peace. The Flow allows connection to divine, and my higher self, peace within.
