I started my journey with yoga in 1996 when a wonderful therapist, who used eastern and western blend, taught me how to meditate. I was in PTSD after some abuse I had suffered and my therapist helped me get present through his teachings of meditation. He suggested I start a physical practice – so I did in 1998. My life changed dramatically for the better due to yoga. Read More>>

Simple Health started in 2011 as a one man team–just me working from a rented room inside another doctor’s office. I consider myself to be very fortunate, because along the way, with the good will and word of my patients, with other doctors I have had the opportunity to know, and with the help of my husband, we managed to turn this small venture into a real business. It was always our dream to build a place for patients to find the best integrative, holistic medicine care, where patients are not just patients, but part of our extended family, where they can receive quality alternative health care at an affordable price. I believe we have achieved our goal. Read More>>

Heather Askinosie: 30 years ago, when I was selling luxury real estate in Southern California, a client asked me to find him a home with good Feng Shui. At that point in my life, I had no idea what Feng Shui or the world of energy—and that’s what truly opened the door for me. From there, I stumbled upon a crystal store and I was hooked. I began to live a double life, selling real-estate by day and spending the nights with the crystals in this store. Read More>>

I grew up in a small beach town on central coast of California with one younger sister, my mom, who is a 911 operator and dad, who is a storyteller and environmentalist and I was home schooled as a child all the way up until high school. Because I had more time maybe than the average kid I spent my day playing, doing backyard theatre productions and keenly observing life. I have always had a deep interest in people and what makes them tick and in life and what makes the world go around. Read More>>

I still remember the look on my wife’s face when I told her that I wanted to quit school, throw my textbooks in the trash and start my own personal training business. She was holding our first child, then two-month old. I was surprised at her calm reaction at first, but then she put her down for a nap and came back with the reaction I was originally expecting. Growing up with a highly entrepreneurial father, I knew I wanted to have my own business one day. My love and passion for flowers truly began back when I was six years old, playing hide-and-go seek in the dewy summer grass with my friends, and spotted the tiniest of pure perfection amidst the spread of green lawn- a beautiful flower! From there my passion grew throughout the years, and I always found a way to incorporate these precious gems into my life, even literally adding a “flower” at the end of my signature! But it wasn’t until I began to study the art of floral design, first as a hobby, that I learned how much this passion was instilled in me. Read More>>

My journey began when I was eleven years old. I planned the spectacular double wedding of Barbie and Ken and Christie and G.I. Joe. Barbie and Christie wore white gowns made of lace fabric (no sewing required I just wrapped the lace around them and secured it with ribbon); Ken wore a leisure suit and Joe wore his Army fatigues. After that grand success I started planning parties and weddings for all of my dolls; Read More>>
