Hi Veronica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My husband and I founded Hollywood Camera Sliders together, combining his innovative engineering talent with my operational leadership. He designs and develops our precision camera sliders, while I oversee the business side—rental operations, client relations, negotiations, and contracts.
What started as a small family-run idea has grown into a trusted equipment partner for productions across film, TV, and commercials. Our sliders have supported major blockbuster and studio projects including Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters, White Noise, Ferrari, Ford vs Ferrari, and many more.
I’m proud to play a role in bringing creative visions to life—helping crews capture smooth, cinematic motion that elevates every story.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. When COVID hit, our industry slowed and we faced new challenges. But instead of letting it stop us, we innovated — advancing into motorized slider technology using both cabled and wireless systems, and adding a remote head to our lineup. This allowed productions to capture complex shots while maintaining safe distancing on set, especially around talent.
Although business has slowed again recently, we are grateful to continue supporting the projects that come our way. And with California’s tax incentives returning, we’re optimistic and excited for what the next year will bring.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We’re Hollywood Camera Sliders, a Los Angeles–based camera movement equipment rental house and manufacturer. We design and build high-performance camera sliders used in major film and TV productions nationwide.
What sets us apart is our hands-on experience as grips — we’re in the field, constantly testing, refining, and innovating our gear. We pride ourselves on reliability, responsiveness, and custom solutions that keep productions moving, even on weekends or tight deadlines.
We’re most proud of creating tools that make the impossible shot possible — through collaboration, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of what camera teams truly need.
Any big plans?
We look forward to continuing to help enhance entertainment by developing new, innovative camera movement solutions. Our focus is on expanding our wireless and motorized systems, collaborating with more productions nationwide, and continuing to support filmmakers with reliable, field-tested equipment.
