Rising Stars: Meet Trish Rave

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trish Rave.

Hi Trish, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in California, I realized that the beauty industry is essential and convenient. Being 23 years in the game, I first started doing “Box Braids” which then led to “Extensions”, all from home. After that, word of mouth started getting out and I took it more seriously for the clients who admired the artwork and comfortability I created for them. It then motivated me to take the risk of opening up a brand new salon in La Cañada Flintridge. Where I started doing “Eyelash Extensions” which then became the top service I was known for. People would come to me every day for that specific service because I was the only one at that time doing it. Individuals then started asking me to provide them courses, which I did. I then noticed how much I enjoyed teaching and learning. Now I have a salon in Sylmar, CA called “Rave Beauty Bar”.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road. Growing up, I had always had the passion for creating a successful business, especially when I began having kids at a young age. I did not have a mentor guiding me in a certain direction or support from anyone but me and my family. Struggles came along the way but I managed to fight through and did not give up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Beauty Educator. I offer classes to services such as Eyelash Extensions, Fibroblast, Body Sculpting, and much more. I am proud that I am able to say that I started from nothing and now have a successful business, where still today we are learning and growing. I love to give back. In my community, there are many times I helped those in need because it’s the right thing to do.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband and children also deserve credit. They have motivated and inspired me to strive for success. Staying until midnight working, my children understood that their mother was a hard worker and needed to do this to build a future for them. They helped by being supportive, they would cheer me on every day.
