Rising Stars: Meet Trinity Orosco-Moore of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinity Orosco-Moore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Artist name : TRINI
Trinity Ollin Orosco-Moore was born in the Tower District of Fresno, California. However , she grew up in Watsonville, California. A small town made out of many immigrant farm workers from Mexico. She was born into a family filled with music and culture. She is a multifaceted rapper, lyricist, songwriter, actress, dance background, filmmaker, makeup(beauty), educated young women. The first art form I took super serious was dance. I started off with dance before I ventured more into acting, and then later music. and full blown wanting to represent myself mainly as a rapper. She moved to LA at 19 alone, and has been grinding, growing, and thriving here for the last 3 years. She also has attained a degree in Liberal Arts & Humanities, and is currently studying Communications & Marketing BA. She is passionate about history, art, writing, culture, and Ethnic Studies. She has been writing raps since elementary school, and would film freestyle car raps in high-school. I then invested and bought my own recording software, and Logic Pro. She learned to record, and started to post more freestyle music videos. From there she started to go to professional music studios to record music for the best quality because her own mixing and mastering wasn’t that great. From there she started to do shows, and just contained to grow with various opportunities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I don’t even feel like I’m done elevating and evolving either. I’m still new so so many things. There have been numerous challenges that I have faced. Some being identity crisis, finding my identity as a person and artist. I am very multifaceted so I never felt like I fit into any type of category, but I think it was a blessing overall. I had so many people self doubting me, and haters. I’ve lost friends, and gone through breakups. My dad had brain tumor when I was in middle school, my parents are recently getting a divorce. It’s a messy divorce as well because both of my parents are DJs and known in their community with gigs they play. So unfortunately it isn’t smooth sailing is is drama and heartbreaking. I moved to LA alone at 19, and worked very hard to sustain myself out here. Working many odd jobs. Was fired from this one soul food restaurant job, and I took it hard last the time because In excel min school, and many other aspects of my life. I had never done anything bad to get in trouble with many things in my life, and so it felt like a slap in the face. I was like how will I pay rent etc? It was exactly such a blessing in disguise because I knew that I was meant for so many other blessings and opportunities within my career path. I picked myself up and excelled after this honestly. Plus being in early twenties I’ve ran into just fake people, and not supportive people if I’m keeping it real. I also had to start college over which is what I mainly moved to LA for. I graduated highschool in 2020 the pandemic, and my first college I attended was online in the lockdown. I later had to leave that school for financial reasons, and it was also a not accredited performance arts school. Now I’m finally on my right career path, in college working towards BA, and working in education as an after school teacher. Also working with certain men in the industry as a female rapper has its hardships. People can deny all they want, but no so many things can happen behind the scenes. We have to work so m much harder for recognition, and many of the men have weird intentions. There’s so. much more in my personal life that has happened in the course of my life, and I often have my own anxieties sometimes, but overall I use it all as fuel to push to bigger and better things, I just trust the process and trust God. Overall, I see the positives in life, and count my blessings constantly even throughout the trials and tribulations.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am truly a multifaceted artist, rapper, lyricist, songwriter, actress, dance background, filmmaker, makeup(beauty), educated young women. I am a rapper but I don’t confine myself to just that. My lyrics and flows can go in between many genres. I also have a passion for fitness and musical theater. I dropped my first debut album at 21 years old called “Moments In Life.” This project has baddie rap, conscious rap, drill, some Spanish influence, heartbreak r&b, storytelling, hype music, bar for bar type, and all around mixture of stuff. She is working on her second album as we speak. I have done numerous shows, and even a rap battle recently. I use music to express, inspire, and impact people. I’m an activist with music as well as pushes confidence and self love. I use vulnerability as a superpower, and at the same time have a spirit that gives “don’t play with her energy”. I have been writing raps since elementary school, and would film freestyle car raps in high-school. I have only been recording at a studio professionally for a year. I am pretty new, but have the knowledge and talent of an old soul. I represent for women and indigenous culture. My music is skilled, and diverse making it a stand out from all others. Totally in my own lane, unique, and just taking things one step at a time as I am on the come up. I do music because I loves it first, but hope to inspire others in the process.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would have one hundred percent say that my main supporter, and rock throughout my whole life is my mother. She is also a high up director in education, and a DJ. She is always there for me and I love her so much. I would also have to say as I’ve progressed with music my music engineer/producer Khari Johnson has been one to speak life into me, and be there for me in so many ways. Not just not the music side, but he always believes in me so much, and from helping create the best songs, and producing beats, to giving me rides to shows, helping me film content, going to networking events with me, calming my self doubt, rescuing me when another job of mine had a shooting and he came and picked me up, and when LA had the fire outbreaks he helped me evacuate I just know he has my back through so much. Beyond the music too he always will go out of his way for me on a personal level. He knows all my favorite things, mindsets, upbringings, and backstory. We all need someone like this in our lives. I couldn’t be more grateful to have him in my life.
