Today we’d like to introduce you to Travis White.
Hi Travis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, my name is Travis White, and I’m a Vegan – Fashion – Lifestyle Influencer. I’ve been passionate about social media and branding since I was 14, which has always felt natural to me. Over the years, I’ve built my image and portfolio, leveraging my self-taught graphic design skills alongside a degree in Fashion. In 2017, I embarked on a unique project, creating a fan page focused on the intersecting worlds of fashion, entrepreneurship, and reality TV – areas synonymous with a certain high-profile figure who needs no introduction. This page quickly garnered success and recognition from the fashion-forward reality star herself.
A professional relationship blossomed from this alignment of interests, especially as the content matched her distinctive blend of glamour and business savvy. This relationship turned the fan page into one of her favorites, where her engagement with the content paved the way for an unexpected opportunity: to collaborate and contribute to her expansive personal brand.
Accepting this once-in-a-lifetime chance led to an evolving journey. As time passed, her needs expanded, and due to our established rapport, she sought my assistance with her personal social media endeavors. This new role, filled with anticipation and learning, turned into a full-time commitment by 2020, marking a significant milestone in my career.
In 2021, as my professional landscape shifted, I decided it was time to sunset the fan page. It had served its purpose, and with my direct involvement in her brand, my focus pivoted towards cultivating my own identity in the vegan and fashion spheres. This change was also influenced by my relocation to LA, a city that opened my eyes to a new world of vegan cuisine beyond the conventional, igniting my audience’s curiosity and engagement.
This new chapter wasn’t just about discovery; it was about sharing and connecting through my love for plant-based foods and sustainable fashion. It led to collaborations with local eateries and food brands, like Noomoo Burgers and Leaf Over Beef, and fashion partnerships that aligned with my values, such as Taft Shoes and Don’t Eat The Homies.
My journey from Louisiana to LA, from a fan page creator to the social media manager for one of the most influential figures in entertainment, underscores a story of growth, adaptation, and the power of aligning one’s passion with purpose.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road for anything is never smooth, but my journey has been a great one that I wouldn’t change at all. Some of my struggles were just not wanting to mess up this opportunity I had, and I wanted to prove that it wasn’t a bad decision. Your anxiety should never get the best of you. Once you get past that obstacle on it’s on and believe you can do anything that you put your mind to, your journey is limitless.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an up-and-coming influencer that isn’t categorized into one thing. My main niche, which I am super happy and passionate about, is veganism. I have been vegan for 4 years, and it was the best decision I could’ve ever made. With that being said, I love trying vegan joints here in LA, whether it’s old or new, and I give my experience and thoughts on the food. I’m well known in the community for this and have worked with our local places that are known like Vegan Street Fair and PETA. Being a fashion major, my style is something I also enjoy sharing with everyone. It’s the way that I love to express myself, and is an art form. I am proud of myself for maintaining and figuring out how to be a good social media manager but what I am most proud of is that I have built my own brand and made relationships with the LA Vegan and Black community. What set me apart from others is that when I post or create any of my work, it’s so much thought and effort into every little detail, and everyone sees that. While doing this and ALWAYS being professional and humble no matter what, is one in a million on its own!
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If you’ve been wanting to do things like become a content creator/influencer or just post on social media. Please just do it. What I love about this is that it’s never a same right or wrong answer for anyone. You just need to dive in, do what makes you happy, and don’t take it so seriously. What’s your calling will always come to you no matter what!
