Today we’d like to introduce you to The Kali Dub Project.
Hi The Kali Dub, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
THE KALI DUB PROJECT formed in 2021 and recorded the debut album titled BROADCASTS OVER BABYLON, which is a descent into psychedelic, dubbed out, sub-bass devotional Vedic mantras. Since that time, we have released a total of 8 albums and a handful of singles.
Our best album to date, EASY JOURNEY TO OTHER PLANETS, was composed and recorded live in the Kalifornia desert in 2025. We hauled our equipment out to a solar trance-station to create a portal, a sacred electronic environment, an auditory instrument to travel into the anti-material world through synthesizer driven, electronic trance music, scattered and stacked amen breaks and fractalated beats. EASY JOURNEY TO OTHER PLANETS was heavily influenced by occult electronic pioneers such as Coil & Psychic TV all the way down to ambient after-hour vibrations of the Orb.
THE KALI DUB PROJECT released the album, GURU, in 2024, an industrial psychedelic testament to our spiritual masters. Our work is completed without the lust for outcome, benefit or gain. It is an act of communion and seva. Music as bhakti shifts the mind back to Godhead. Our spiritual masters continually guide us to chant and beautify the Holy names through music.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Since inception, THE KALI DUB PROJECT has been effortlessly prolific, constantly influenced and inspired by those before us such as old electronic and industrial music, Sunn O))), Earth, OM and the nastiest drum and bass pioneers from the 90’s.
Originally, we set out to mix subsonic sigils and mantras with heavy dub, to create music that was simultaneously heavy and elevating, inspired King Tubby, Agustus Pablo, Lee Scratch Perry and SCORN. Soon after we produced the album THE KALI DRONE PROJECT comprised of crushing doom/drone riffs, haunting vocals, traditional Vedic mantras and an overdose of feedback.
The 2023 album, PSYCHEDELIC SUPERSOUL SESSIONS, was by influenced Spacemen 3, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, and handful of grimy 60’s garage/psych bands. We wanted to pay forward the psychedelic gospel like so many have done before and raise consciousness while doing it.
Motivated by spiritual teachings the music continues to pour forth with no end in sight.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our music is a devotional agenda deeply connected to Vedic thought and scripture. Merely hearing the vibrations of the Holy names will awaken seeds of God consciousness. Chanting the Holy names with dedication and faith delivers us from past inflictions and harmful ways. Through vibration and magnetism we release ourselves from bondage and forge new ways.
Music shapes the mood, the mind and molecular movements. Music is a method of molding one’s reality. We have the ability to rise above mere animal impulses into Self-Realization. Vedic mantras allow one to transcend this Kali-yuga, to maintain inner and outer harmony, beauty and divine truth.
Through devotional chanting, one can overcome mental inertia and move beyond the limiting fluctuations of the mind and uncured ego. Through devotional chanting, one can aim their conscious forces through the lenses of the Soul to manifest ones’ highest calling, here and now. Through devotional chanting, one obtains peace and Holy refuge, the ultimate victory or ‘jaya’ in the battlefields of this current Kali yuga.
When you chant the holy names of God you are tapping into a higher vibrational frequency, the frequency of the Divine. There’s no difference between the Holy names of God and Divinity itself. The more you chant the more you understand this. When you chant you recharge yourself from a pure source of energy, the sacred energy from the Divine. That’s our goal.
What matters most to you?
The devotional teachings of our spiritual Masters are of utmost importance. Our music is bhakti, devotional activity. In Sanskrit, the term भक्ति means devotion and bhakti; they are synonyms. Bhakti is faith, faith as devotion, faith as the fearless pursuit of SELF-realization and liberation. As we seek to harness and purify the actions of the mind and sense organs, they become untethered from all vampiric infestations and illusion.
We are all here as SOULS having human experiences. Each soul has incarnated with a specific and unique WILL, purpose, path and svadharma. Devotion is required to achieve one’s highest calling, one’s duty to the SELF, the SOUL, GODHEAD.
Guru A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada shared these key statements.

“In the Kali-yuga, the present age of quarrel and hypocrisy, the following things will diminish: religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, mercy, duration of life, bodily strength and memory. These are human assets, which make the human being distinct from animal.”
“In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy the only means of deliverance is chanting the Holy name of the Lord. There is no other way. There is no other way. There is no other way.”
We continue to arm ourselves with the Holy Names and maneuver through Babylon, to free ourselves from attachments to stifling inertia, ignorance and helplessness which bind us to the sufferance of delusion.
