Today we’d like to introduce you to The Honey I’m Home Podcast
The Honey I’m Home Podcast, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Talin: Well. Technically, this all started from Hinge. But to be less technical. we were just two young women, in love, and wanting to embark in a creative endeavor together. Prisma has a background in radio, had a previous sneaker podcast, and once that ended, she was itching to get back into that world. We had just moved in together, we have a cat named Honey, one thing lead to another and the Honey I’m Home Podcast was created.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Talin: I think any time you start anything and take an idea to a physical form the road is going to look a little crazy. There are moments that are really precious and sweet, and seamless. Like collaborating on future ideas, shoot days running on perfect timing, networking with people in the same community as you, etc. But, of course, there are really difficult days that eb and flow through all of the good ones. That is with business in general, and then adding on top of that-working with your partner has it’s own struggles.
Prisma: I agree with T. I feel like we have really high highs and when we get stuck or there’s an obstacle they can also be really low lows. Mainly because we are so passionate and work diligently to deliver and create something that we are both very proud of. Some of the struggles include, scheduling, timing, editing and even putting in 100% when one or both isn’t in the mood, per se. What I can say about the struggles is that we take them and allow ourselves to grow from any and every experience within.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are both hosts on the Honey I’m Home Podcast, where we discuss everything from our coming out stories, being in an interracial relationship, bisexuality, our wildest dreams, and quite literally everything in-between. We also have guest episodes where we invite our really cool friends, other artists, creatives, and creators on to talk about their careers and personal experiences. At the end of the day, we are connectors. We love to connect with all the beings we come across and hope to leave a positive impact. We just want to hold a space where we can be open, honest, vulnerable, and creative. A place where we can create that for not only ourselves, but for others as well.
