Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Breaking into the entertainment world has never been simple — and for me, it has been a journey of courage, reinvention, and learning to advocate for my own voice while helping others shape theirs.

By day, I work full-time in HR — a career that has taught me the power of listening, the importance of people, and the art of managing high-pressure environments. By night, early morning, lunch break, and any sliver of time I can borrow, I’m building a second life: one in entertainment, storytelling, and publicity.

Stepping into the industry as a budding publicist has been both electrifying and daunting. When you’re new, the biggest challenge is simply being seen. You’re fighting your way into rooms where relationships often run decades deep, where credibility is currency, and where you constantly wonder if you’re doing enough to prove that you belong. I’ve spent many nights staring at my laptop, wondering if I should even call myself a publicist yet — caught somewhere between imposter syndrome and genuine ambition.

But what kept me going was purpose. I knew I wasn’t stepping into this space just to “be in entertainment.” I was stepping in because I’m a storyteller, and I’m building a world where my stories, and the stories of others, can heal, empower, and ignite change.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, I work part-time as a PR assistant, soaking up everything I can — industry etiquette, media relations, strategy, nuance, and what it truly means to advocate for a client’s voice. And even though I still sometimes feel like I’m climbing uphill, every event, every connection, and every opportunity to prove myself has strengthened my foundation.

This journey isn’t happening in isolation either. I’m simultaneously writing my new book, Grateful Wounds, a deeply personal exploration of healing and womanhood. I’m developing my TV show, Grateful 4 Heels, a series rooted in resilience, transformation, and the beauty that rises from adversity. These projects aren’t just creative endeavors — they’re pieces of my soul, and I want to enter the entertainment world with the credibility, relationships, and community that will help them thrive.

Balancing all of this hasn’t been easy. There have been financial roadblocks, scheduling nightmares, moments where opportunities slipped through my fingers simply because I didn’t yet have the connections. There were days I questioned whether I was trying to juggle too much — HR professional, author, show creator, publicist. But I’ve come to realize that all these paths are part of the same purpose: I’m building a brand rooted in authenticity, storytelling, and impact.

The entertainment world may be vast and intimidating, but it has also shown me the value of persistence. I’m learning to trust slow growth, to celebrate small wins, and to keep showing up — even when I’m tired, unsure, or overwhelmed. And in every room I enter, I remind myself why I’m here: not for fame, not for validation, but to create work that inspires, uplifts, and reminds people that their wounds can become their strength.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
This is only the beginning of my story. As my book prepares to meet the world and my show continues to take shape, I’m building the kind of foundation I prayed for — one relationship, one opportunity, one step at a time. And if there’s anything I’ve learned on this winding climb into entertainment, it’s that purpose has a way of clearing paths you didn’t even know were possible.

I’m still finding my footing, but I’m standing — grateful, growing, and determined to rise.
