Rising Stars: Meet Tal Orion of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tal Orion.

Tal, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I actually started in events very organically, helping friends and family plan celebrations, and slowly realizing how much I loved creating experiences that make people feel something. Over time, that grew into Tal Orion Conceptual Events, which became known for high-end weddings and big milestone celebrations.

As the business grew, so did the demand for smaller, more accessible events : birthdays, showers, proposals, kids’ parties, all with the same creativity and attention to detail that my larger events have. That’s really how Epicly was born.

Epicly gives people a way to celebrate beautifully without needing a huge production or wedding-level budget. It also allowed me to bring in new talent, expand my team, and create a division that feels fun, fresh, and very aligned with how people celebrate today.

It’s become one of the most exciting parts of my journey, giving more people access to thoughtful, stylish, meaningful celebrations.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the early years, my biggest challenge was balancing creativity with the business side, pricing properly, building systems, finding the right team, and learning how to set boundaries with clients. I had to learn a lot through trial and error.

Another struggle was growth. As my luxury brand evolved, I felt stretched between wanting to say yes to every client and understanding that I physically couldn’t do everything myself. That’s actually what inspired Epicly: instead of turning clients away, I created a division and a team structure that allowed us to serve more people without compromising the experience.

Like every women, there were also personal challenges, being a mom, a wife and running a business.
But honestly, every challenge pushed me to grow, refine my vision, and build something stronger. Nothing about this journey has been smooth… but it’s been absolutely worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Epicly is not just a division it’s a team-driven celebration studio built on community, creativity, and opportunity. One of the things I’m most proud of is the Epicly Celebration Team, which is made up of talented, passionate individuals who love events but may not have known how to break into the industry.

I realized there were so many people who had the eye, the personality, and the excitement for events, but they needed guidance, structure, and real hands-on experience. Epicly became that bridge. We train our team members from the ground up from how to communicate with clients, to how to design a cohesive look, to managing vendors, timelines, and on-site logistics.

Every person brings something different to the table, and that’s what makes Epicly so special. It’s collaborative, fresh, diverse, and very heart-centered. Our clients feel that energy immediately.

Epicly planners are not just assistants they are celebration specialists. They run birthdays, showers, proposals, kids’ parties, and intimate gatherings with the same level of care and intention that I bring to my luxury weddings. And throughout the year, they continue to grow under my mentorship, becoming stronger, smarter, and more confident with every event.

What sets the Epicly team apart is:
Our training system, ongoing, practical, real-event experience.
Our shared creative language: modern, clean, elevated but fun.
Our values , kindness, clarity, reliability, and celebrating people.
Our growth structure: team members can grow into leadership roles, and even earn partnership opportunities after one year.

Epicly has become a place where clients get thoughtful, beautiful events and where talented people can build a real career in the event world. Watching this team grow is honestly one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For us, success isn’t about how big the event is or how many followers we have it’s about how people feel.
If our clients walk into their event and feel seen, supported, and truly celebrated… that’s success.
If my team grows, feels proud of their work, and discovers their own potential… that’s success.
Epicly and TOCE aren’t just businesses they’re ecosystems. When I see clients returning for multiple milestones, when I see team members growing into leadership roles, or when I watch the brand evolve into something I once only imagined… that’s success.
