Rising Stars: Meet Sarah Siegel-Kolodziejski of Calabasas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Siegel-Kolodziejski.

Hi Sarah , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in a quaint little town in England before making the leap across the pond about three decades ago. My career has been quite the journey—fashion, real estate, clean beauty—I’ve always been drawn to industries that blend creativity with purpose.
Pure Clarity was born from my own personal transformation. After navigating an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, I embraced an alcohol-free, sober lifestyle just over three years ago. That experience changed everything for me, and I wanted to create something meaningful around it—hence our motto: ‘mindful drinking, mindful living.’
What really drives me is building this incredible community of thought leaders, wellness advocates, and curious folks who are all exploring life beyond alcohol in their own ways. Through Pure Clarity, I get to wear many hats—hosting retreats, offering personal coaching (I’m five-times certified now!), podcast guest, networking events, and collaborating with some amazing alcohol-free brands.
Southern California has been the perfect backdrop for our events, with the goal of taking this nationally. There’s something magical about bringing people together in this inclusive space where we can celebrate an alcohol-free lifestyle without judgment. That’s what makes Pure Clarity special—we welcome everyone, whether you’re taking a day off drinking, doing a month-long challenge, or committed to a lifetime without alcohol. It’s all about mindfulness and finding what truly works for you.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If I’m being completely honest, it all started with fear. I kept wondering: Is this something people truly want? Can I really pull this off?
Early on, I had a potential partner who seemed to value her contribution more than mine when it came to that first event. I made the difficult decision to break away and do this on my own—terrified, but determined. I had no idea if I could succeed without her experience and connections.
That leap of faith led me to my current production partners, my friends at L & K Corporate Events, who immediately saw the potential in what I was trying to create. I’d noticed alcohol-free events popping up in other parts of the country, but nothing LA-based. There was this gap I felt compelled to fill.
I started with very little—minimal capital, hardly any relationships in the alcohol-free space (just a genuine love for their brands), and zero community. But I believed this event would be the kickoff to something special.
January 2024 was our moment of truth. My first event drew over 150 attendees to the Annenberg House in Santa Monica. It required people to have real faith in what I was offering. I brought together some of the best leaders in alcohol-free living—panelists, wellness experts, leading non alcoholic brands, mindful thought leaders, and acclaimed authors.
Selling tickets was nerve-wracking, especially since people in LA notoriously wait until the last minute to commit. With barely any market presence and limited capital (plus financial support from an investor with no profit after the event), it was a nail-biter.
But when it all came together? Incredible success. It wasn’t about the profit—it was about the beginning of something meaningful. I had arrived.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I came from a fashion background in London before moving to LA almost 30 years ago to pursue my dreams. My career has evolved through real estate, events, and non-profit work, and now I’m proud to work with Chella, an incredible mindful clean beauty brand founded by my husband. These world’s all overlap in my mission to help people feel and look their best.
What I’m most known for—and what I’m especially proud of— my tenancity in life, the power of being a super connector, founding Pure Clarity, which was recently trademarked! Under our motto ‘mindful drinking, mindful living,’ we create high-end, nurturing events that bring together thought leaders in the zero-proof movement. My events attract incredible presenters like Laura Cathcart Robbins, Sebastian Siegel, Bill Shufelt (Founder of the #1 non-alcoholic beer), celebrity dietician Kim Shapira, and Peter Sterios of Manduka.
What truly sets me apart is my personal journey. As a 51-year-old woman who had a drinking career since age 15, I’ve now lived alcohol-free for over three years. I didn’t follow the traditional AA path—instead, I used subliminal programming through hypnosis, immersed myself in the work of leaders in the non-alcoholic space, plant based diet (yes, food heals), practiced breathwork and yoga, and follow Joe Dispenza’s energy work.
My childhood experiences of trauma, being fostered and adopted, gave me a unique perspective. At 13, I promised myself this wouldn’t define me—I would go on to do great things. Today, as a mother of two incredible sons and a certified personal coach, I’ve helped countless people transform their relationship with alcohol.
What distinguishes Pure Clarity is our inclusive approach to mindful living. Whether someone’s taking a break for a day, a month, or a lifetime, we provide a judgment-free community that celebrates living fully without alcohol. A way to connect and meet like minded people. I love to see the friendships and community building. Through retreats, coaching, classes, and brand collaborations in Southern California, I’m changing the narrative around alcohol and showing people they can be more present and powerful than they ever imagined.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I couldn’t be where I am today without the love, support, and confidence of so many incredible people in my life.
My husband, Chris Kolodziesjki, has been my rock—telling me to go for it and believing in me even at my lowest points. He’s brought out the best in me, supporting Pure Clarity emotionally and financially with such passion, time, and unwavering pride.
My two amazing sons, Joseph and Harrison, have been my greatest cheerleaders. I remember my son telling me, ‘Mum, if these events are happening elsewhere, YOU can do this yourself.’ They’ve shown up to volunteer, demonstrated incredible compassion, and taken such pride in watching my journey unfold.
Peter Sterios, Founder of Manduka and Levity Yoga, was the first to say YES to my big event— and a dear friend today. He felt it was an honor, and he continues to support building Pure Clarity with me.
Kim Shapira and Sarah Goudie, at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort have become true mentors, participating in several events now. They’re tirelessly committed to building our community and bringing health and wellness resources to everyone.
Gina Main has been there capturing me and my events through her brilliant photography and heart.
Kate Danaj and Susie Streelman, thought leaders in alcohol-free living, welcomed me into their world without hesitation. They showed up for me and brought their own communities to my events. There was never any sense of competition—just shared passion and our collective mission.
Liz and Kelly at L&K Events, who believe in what I am doing and continue to support building a national model for Pure Clarity. Their motto—’Nothing cannot be accomplished’—has become a guiding light for what we’re creating together.
And I can’t forget, Alexis Royzman, Karyn Clark and Kayla Parks have jumped in with both feet—creating a website, marketing assets, brainstorming ideas, volunteering, and doing the heavy lifting whenever needed.
