Rising Stars: Meet Sanghamitra Dasgupta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanghamitra Dasgupta.

Sanghamitra Dasgupta

Hi Sanghamitra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started illustrating at the age of 5… At that time, I used to be a part of school magazines and then eventually college magazines… My passion for artwork and games starts building. I decided to be an illustrator even after I did my graduation in different subjects. And after facing 1000 rejections, here I am… one of the world’s top illustrators.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it was never… family members (excluding parents), friends, and neighbors always have doubts and laugh… Even when I started my journey as a designer, every company where I went for an interview rejected me… Then I started working more passionately on Illustration more… and here I am today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am mostly known for my Illustration… which I do for kids. I am a proud children’s book illustrator and also a storyboard artist in Hollywood as well as the Australian Film Industry. My connection with my clients and being honesty with work, and 100% fully promised service are what my clients always depend on.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Obviously, my one and only favorite is Universal Studios… That’s always been my favorite place.

There are no least like but yeah sometimes I don’t like crowded place… I am very introvert person… So, a nice quiet place is always what I prefer…
