Today, we’d like to introduce you to BRISTOL TO MEMORY.
Hi Rory, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started playing backyard shows with my band Bristol to Memory in high school. Till this day, those are the nights that defined our lives. Since then, we’ve toured across most of North America and have released 6 Albums/EPs. Our most recent album “Wake Up” was released in August of 2019 on Wiretap Records. With touring canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, we have taken the time to write and record a new full-length record. We’re excited to release more music in 2021 and see where the rest of the year takes us!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s a saying that I like to say… you can’t rock and roll if you can’t roll with the rocky roads ahead. In this business there are always roadblocks and obstacles you have to navigate. What’s important is to stay the course and be focused on the long game. Nothing comes easy or free but success is always worth the wait.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Music is the air we breathe. Over the years, we’ve found ourselves on countless stages, in countless cities but one thing is certain. It’s been the best years of our lives. We’re excited for what the future has in store for us and can’t wait to get back on the road to play again!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Every city has its pros and cons but as long as there is a good bar, we’re happy!
