Rising Stars: Meet Rodney Crews of Los Angeles, California

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodney Crews.

Hi Rodney , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I always have had a love for music and the business of the industry since childhood. I took drama in school and acted in plays, which fueled my passion, not just for music, but the entertainment industry as a whole. When I graduated High School, alongside of working regular 9-5’s, I got my degree in audio/video communications a d business administration. Soon after interned as an A&R at a major label for a year at Def Jam Recordings, also co-hosted at The Indie Spot/Solcentric Radio, based in Charlotte, NC. Shortly after, was brought in by Gigi Ocasio at Southwest Productions, as Co-Writer on the reality show “Independent Women” and the dramatic tv series “The Dirty South” where I got my Writers Guild (West) certification. Finally, linked up with the legendary singer/songwriter Angel Sessions and her husband/manager Demetrius C Guidry to create and develop the RIAA certified record label we all know now as Atlas Elite Entertainment, LLC, whi h is now considered a major/indie record label. We have been blessed to have massive success with chart-topping artists and music, successful magazine, award show, upcoming film projects, upcoming clothing line, etc….We have also gained great partnerships with other great entities in business and give God all the Glory on all we have accomplished, are accomplishing now, and plan to continue to accomplished in th future. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success is always under construction. Main problems we have encountered on our journey has been some of the connections, mainly because we are in a world now where people like to use other people, when they feel the can be beneficial to them, not to mention, some just don’t have your best interest at heart.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am 1/3 of the 3 Founders at Atlas Elite Entertainment, LLC. My particular role is mainly, marketing/promoting and managing of the artists on the label, as well as, social media consultant, writer, and aspiring artist. My skills are impeccable and I am a visionary. I am most proud of the great success and team we have, everything we have released from this label has charted at the top of the charts, independently.
