Today we’d like to introduce you to Rian & Noelle Goins
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Rian and Noelle Goins met on a dating app called BLK owned by Match.com in January 2021. They got engaged in June of 2021 and married in November 2021. Their online dating love story captured the attention of Steve Harvey, and they both were interviewed on how they met and their journey of celibacy before marriage, which led to an interview on Steve On Watch.
After receiving an influencer deal with Triller through their Black Creator initiative, they established “The Out Goins,” their love brand producing wholesome and comedic content as well as dropping gems with their mini podcast “Goins Guidance.”
In 2022, they established their own pest control company called Get Goins Pest Control, which specializes in both residential and commercial pest control services. Both of them became licensed and began to enjoy the teamwork provided by working together in the field and in the office. Rian already had more than 20 years of experience in the pest control industry, and Noelle is now 3 years in.
In September 2023 they founded the Keep It Goins Foundation, whose mission is to assist impoverished, elderly, mentally and physically challenged communities that suffer from infestations and cannot afford the costs of exterminating. They were able to help their first family in March 2024, that was suffering from a sever bed bug, German roach, and termite infestation simultaneously.
These days Rian and Noelle create pest control content for major manufacturers in the pest control industry such as Nisus, they are Forbes Magazine contributors on the Pest Control Advisory Board, and they recently partnered with Angi’s (formerly known as Angi’s List) as Angi’s Pros. Noelle also came back for a second episode of S.W.A.T. that aired in March 2024.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being newlyweds and business owners definitely had its challenges along with life happening. Noelle lost her father 2 weeks after walking her down the aisle, and the pair suffered 2 miscarriages. Their life of celibacy before marriage served a bigger purpose in the loss of 2 children, and spiritually drew them closer to God together. Jesus Christ is the center of their marriage, and they take no credit for overcoming hardships without His grace.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Noelle Goins is licensed pest control owner with a background in filmmaking, editing, singing/songwriting, and acting. Blessed with years of song placements in TV & film, Noelle has also been a recurring actress on prime-time TV with credits such as S.W.A.T., Young and the Restless, and old school medical drama, House MD. As a former star basketball player, Noelle is no stranger to sacrifice, perseverance, team-building and determination. She is also a black belt in Taekwondo!
Born Nicole Bellinghausen in Lincoln, Nebraska and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Noelle earned accolades as Nevada State Player of the Year and Gatorade Player of the Year in basketball; earning a scholarship to then top 10 ranked Old Dominion University of Norfolk, Virginia. Her 4-years as a Lady Monarch earned her 4 CAA rings, 4 Sweet 16 appearances, and a National Championship game appearance. She studied music (vocal performance), sang the national anthem for sold-out home games, and earned her degree in Human Services and Counseling; having a passion for helping people. After graduation Noelle ventured back to Las Vegas writing music and singing six nights a week in an all-male band at popular Vegas hotels, The Luxor and Excalibur. That money allowed her relocation to Los Angles, CA, to pursue music full time and land several song placements in TV and film. She would also diversify her work portfolio from leading the sales training program for Dutch baby stroller company, Bugaboo, being a leasing consultant for a property management company, and running administration for a Taekwondo school to name a few. Noelle even booked several acting roles while also producing and editing music videos and a short film.
With her multifaceted work background mixed with entertainment, Noelle would maximize pest control and story telling through music and social media. After marrying her husband, Rian Goins, Noelle found a new love marring into the pest control industry.. With Rian coming from a family of pest control owners and over 17 years of experience, Noelle became immediately interested in the industry. She began accompanying Rian in the field when he was working for his uncle’s company to see the day and the life of a pest control technician. When an aunt of Rian’s who owned LJC Pest Control became rapidly ill, her daughter reached out to Rian, and asked if he wanted to take over her mother’s small route of 30 years. Rian and Noelle accepted the honor, and began to go through all of the licensing procedures to register their own company, Get Goins Pest Control. This also prompted Noelle to study and obtain her own license to be in the field with many more licenses to come. Noelle’s passion and enjoyment for branding businesses shows in her and Rian’s social media. The biggest part of their business is giving back through their nonprofit, the Keep It Goins Foundation, which helps those suffering from infestations and can’t afford pest control costs. Noelle and Rian learned very quickly how many of the elderly, mentally/physically disabled, and impoverished neighborhoods were not getting the pest control support they so desperately needed. They decided that turning people away with infestations and no money should no longer be an option, and are actively building a foundation that can partner with other pest control companies nationwide, other nonprofits, and venders on how to support those who need it most. Many people suffering are also renters afraid to complain to landlords, which is why empathy is rooted in their customer service as a husband and wife owner team. According to Noelle, “To listen is to love, and to love is to listen. We can’t help people without love or listen without the ability to hear their cries. Keep it Goins is about paying it forward and keeping the love and healthy quality of life GOINS for all of our communities combined. Get Goins Pest Control is just a vessel to give back.”
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never give up on God because He never gives up on us!
