Rising Stars: Meet Ramone Palmore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramone Palmore.

Hi Ramone, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In my early childhood, I was inspired by Al Pacino, Morgan Freeman, James Cagney and Bette Davis I started acting with Director Beth Harper at Portland’s actor’s Conservatory. I studied At the Artists Repertory Theatre with Meisner instructor Chris Harder. I later was cast in a StreetCar named Desire at the SecondStory Repertory theatre with Director Jane Ryan I was then asked to lead in commercials for KGW News and Modus Commercials. In 2020, I wrote, produced and played John Pearson in the Independent Short Film Saving District A Short film about school shootings in America.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was going through some Ups and downs financially when I got a role in Street Car named Desire after driving from Portland to Seattle, I slept in my car for three weeks because I did not have anyone to stay with and only had food and gas money because if the Director knew I didn’t have a place to stay they probably would not have cast me in the play but there was nothing stopping me from being in that play at the time so I would sleep in my car and wash up in a Local coffee shop bathroom and be backstage getting ready to be on stage for the night.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an Actor, I specialize in Developing Films being a Visionary and Creator. I’m most proud of watching saving district become reality when I was on the set it moved me to see the other actors be in Character with an idea I came up with to raise awareness on school shootings in America. So I would probably say saving district. Following the hard work we put into the film with no budget to make the movie, we still got selected in the Portland film festival.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe if you put the work in it will pay off in 5-10 years, I want to be able to show my ability as an actor in big-budget productions. Taking on opportunities As a protagonist are Supporting Lead in Television and Film.
