Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I kicked off my journey in film production back in 2015 by adapting my debut book into my first movie, which we titled “Circumstances.” The road from then to now, spanning nine years, has been filled with growth and creativity. In that time, we’ve brought to life over 11 films, with me personally producing 14. “Circumstances” has evolved into a franchise with four installments, and our portfolio has expanded to include several other films and an upcoming TV series. This year is shaping up to be busy, with three projects already on the docket.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, the journey hasn’t been smooth by any stretch. It’s been quite challenging, and there have been moments filled with doubt. However, dedication and belief in what I’m pursuing have been crucial. I came across an interview with Busta Rhymes recently where he talked about the need to be somewhat obsessive in chasing your dreams. I resonate with that sentiment deeply. Despite the hurdles, it’s been incredibly rewarding because I’m passionate about what I do.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
As a film producer, what fills me with the most pride is my and my team’s knack for elevating each project beyond its predecessor, particularly in terms of production quality, storyline, and our grasp of our audience’s expectations. What distinguishes me, I believe, is my ability to anticipate and comprehend what’s on the horizon.
