Rising Stars: Meet Nicole Goesseringer Muj of Marina del Rey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Goesseringer Muj

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Since I have been featured previously, I will revisit my previous answer, and update as needed. I was born and raised in rural Ontario, Canada, but from early on, I knew I would be working in Hollywood and international showbiz. I studied Slavic Studies at the University of Ottawa and Communications at the University of Texas at Austin and California State University, Fullerton. I was able to combine my international culture and public relations specialties as I embarked on my career, working with top names and companies in global lifestyle and entertainment, including E!, NBC Universal, USA TV Productions, Davines, and many others. Eventually, I launched my own company, Kultura PR International (www.kulturapr.com). I first worked closely with Gotham Chandna, Cloud 21 PR (www.cloud21.com), on many projects, combining my specialty of traditional PR with Gotham’s expertise in digital marketing. Recently, however, Gotham is occupied with other endeavors, so I now am working with his amazing colleague Kate Elfatah of HoM Consulting (https://homconsulting.com/) on all our pr/digital marketing projects, as well as our festival for short films, French Riviera Film Festival (www.frenchrivierafilmfestival.com) and various special events. Recently, Kate and I together worked on Jonathan Baker’s annual Oscar Viewing Event, on which we were co-presenters. It has been fantastic so far working with Kate.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My road has not been too bumpy :), however recently, I must say, for the first time in my over 20-year career, I have had a very bad experience with a film client. I won’t mention names, but it was an eye opener for me and my business partner. We, however, took this as a lesson learned, and will definitely look for red flags before taking on a similar client in the future.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a long time PR professional and special events producer. I think what sets me apart is that I am also a journalist; the co-publisher of Indie Entertainment Media and contributor to various outlets (Gothamology, filmfestivals.com, etc.). I know how to navigate the media side, and know what is newsworthy and what is not, from a publicity standpoint. With regard to my special events, I think you will find that my events are top notch and run very professionally.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always looking for new partnerships, collaborations, both in the US and internationally. In recent years, I have supported many special gala event projects, helping to take clients’ events to new levels. Of course, I am always looking for new clients with interesting projects or initiatives.
