Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazret Hezbom
Hi Nazret, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Of course. So, I originally focused on modeling and always made friends as I met people throughout the city. Many of them ended up being involved in the fashion world obviously, but I always found myself making friends with people in other industries as well, one main one being music. Before I transitioned careers, you may notice how people would find themselves freestyling or making a beat, whether after a night out with friends or just playing with a pen and a flat surface, well I was one of those people. So, with folks, especially my musically involved friends, we’d find ourselves freestyling and messing around. I never took music seriously as a career, but after time, and realizing how much people value my opinion and my inclined ear, I fell in love with it. In my previous interview, I went more into it as my career, but at first, it was just a hobby.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Certainly not. In the creative field, there is a common phrase many are familiar with called the “struggling artist”, and that’s for a reason. Like most jobs, many creative roles require a lot of commitment, and since this is an entrepreneurial journey, it’s hard to achieve consistency. Balance is easily one of the biggest struggles I face. It comes with its’ highs and lows, but that’s just a part of the journey. The road isn’t rocky, but more so wavy I would say.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an independent artist and performer with a list of hats I wear. I specialize in singing and am most known for my songs and music videos found on multiple major platforms. What sets me apart from others is that I know what I want and make it happen, no matter what obstacles I may have to face. Since I am independent, I’m very hands-on, and involved in nearly everything I bring to fruition. I am most proud of my progress thus far, as being a woman in a male-dominated industry can be very difficult. The fact that I continue to grow and self-motivate is already an accomplishment in itself.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
My new album MY WAY is out on 9/25/2024.
Very proud of this one, check it out if you can!
