Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Thompson
Hi Megan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I think every healers story starts with some sort of heartbreak and grief. Mine certainly did. It was through my own grief and pain that I learned the tools and practices to get me thru and started to unfold my own dharma of sharing these gifts with others.
I am so grateful to my younger curious self for walking into that studio downtown. Grateful to the owner who saw the teacher in me.
The rest, as they say, is history. My curiosity continues to lead my path—into coaching, into somatic work, into activism, and further into the full potential of my purpose
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Healing is certainly not a smooth road, nor is holding space for others along their path. But as cliche as it may sound, I would not have it any other way.
Life is meant to be lived, thru the ups and downs, twists and turns. It’s all about how we respond and show up
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Somatic Activated Healer and Ayurvedic Embodiment Coach, my dharma is to empower womxn to use their pain as a pathway to liberation. Our hardships don’t define us; instead, they can be springboards for growth. Connection to self is vital for healing, but so is community and collective liberation. Through my mentorships and somatic programs, I help individuals lay the foundations for personal transformation and bridge that with collective work. Together, we journey towards healing, joy, and the embodiment of our true selves—a path to soul-aligned living and activism.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Community! So much of the wellness space focuses on the individual, and while that’s important, we also need each other. Healing goes so much further when we do it together.
