Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis “Nautolus” Campos
Hi Luis “Nautolus”, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Luis Campos, also known as Nautolus. I’m a DJ, producer, and songwriter based in Orange County. My passion for music started at a young age, and I began producing in middle school using a cheap keyboard I received for my 14th birthday. That was the moment I knew music was my true calling.
Originally from Visalia, California, in the Central Valley, I always dreamed of moving to Los Angeles to pursue music. After high school, I made that dream a reality. Over time, I also got into DJing as a way to promote my music and connect with a larger audience. I’ve been fortunate to perform at many clubs and venues across Southern California, continuing to grow and share my love for music with others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been filled with both highs and lows. There was a time when I felt an overwhelming excitement in creating new music. But I also recall moments when I was frustrated with music, blaming it for not taking me where I wanted to go in my career. I had dreams, but I wasn’t putting in the work to make them a reality. I came to realize that wishing and taking action are two very different things. The days I felt my lowest were the days I wasn’t applying myself to create; I was simply waiting for something to fall into my lap.

I’m Nautolus, a DJ, producer, and songwriter with a passion for creating upbeat electronic dance music that gets people moving, grooving, and feeling all kinds of emotions. I produce all of my own tracks and write the lyrics and melodies, pouring my heart into every song. Thanks to the collaboration of incredibly talented artists and vocalists, I’m able to bring these songs to life, whether through streaming platforms or live performances. What sets me apart is my ability to infuse personal life experiences into my songs—experiences that others can relate to—while still creating music that makes you want to dance.

I’m beyond excited to announce my first official release with a record label! My EP, Nautolus – “Ferris Wheel,” will be dropping on May 9th across all major streaming platforms via PH 7 Records. This is a huge milestone for me, and I’m incredibly grateful and joyful to see my hard work pay off after so many years in the industry.
