Today we’d like to introduce you to Leo Lev.
Hi Leo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
About Leo Lev
My name is Leo Lev, and my journey is rooted in a passion for entrepreneurship, creativity, and human connection. In 2019, I took a leap that would define my next chapter—I secured the domain CoverStory.com in a high-stakes auction, not just as a digital asset, but as the foundation for a brand with purpose.
That vision became CoverStory®, a platform where individuals, entrepreneurs, and brands are featured through striking Cover Story designs—shared digitally and printed on premium metal and apparel. What began as a single idea has evolved into a storytelling movement, helping people elevate their identity with style and credibility. Today, our Instagram platform, @CoverStory.com, reaches over 6.3 million followers.
In parallel, poetry has been a lifelong outlet for me. I’ve written over 300 poems and am preparing to publish two collections. To support this journey, I acquired AmericanPoet.com and launched @AmericanPoet, where I share poetry alongside reflections on travel, food, and life. It’s a creative space where art meets everyday experience.
My love for exploration and culture also inspired a family of lifestyle brands: TravelCulture, TravelPals, FoodScript, and WineExperience—each one born from the belief that travel and food are universal languages that connect us.
Whether through words, design, or curated experiences, my work is about capturing stories that resonate—and creating platforms where others can do the same.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most entrepreneurs and creatives, I’ve faced my share of challenges—financial risks, self-doubt, and the constant pressure to keep creating and evolving. Building CoverStory® from the ground up meant wearing multiple hats, often working around the clock without immediate results or recognition.
There were moments when people didn’t understand the vision, or when projects didn’t pan out the way I had hoped. Even launching my poetry brand and preparing two books came with emotional vulnerability—putting deeply personal work out into the world isn’t easy.
But every setback taught me something valuable, and those struggles helped shape the clarity and resilience I have today. I’ve learned that the road is never smooth—but it’s in the rough patches that the most meaningful stories are written.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At my core, I’m a storyteller and brand builder. I specialize in creating platforms that help people showcase who they are, what they stand for, and what makes their journey unique. Through CoverStory®, I design digital and physical cover stories—crafted visuals paired with compelling headlines that elevate individuals, entrepreneurs, and brands. These covers are featured on our Instagram platform with over 6.3 million followers and printed on premium metal and apparel, making each story tangible and unforgettable.
I’m also a poet with over 300 written works and two books in the publishing pipeline. Through AmericanPoet.com and @AmericanPoet, I share poetry alongside reflections on travel, food, and business—bringing a personal and creative side to everything I do.
What I’m most proud of is building CoverStory® from nothing more than a vision into a recognizable brand that’s helped people gain visibility, build credibility, and unlock new opportunities. I’ve also created lifestyle brands like TravelCulture, TravelPals, FoodScript, WineExperience, BossMusic, WellnessMax, CarBusiness, TattooBook, TheSolution, PetAdopt, CharityWay each rooted in meaningful experiences and connection.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend creativity with strategy. I don’t just design content—I craft identity. I bring together poetry, branding, marketing, and storytelling in a way that’s emotionally resonant and visually powerful. It’s about helping others step into the spotlight with confidence and authenticity.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Absolutely—I’m a constant learner and draw a lot of inspiration from other established brands and platforms. I regularly follow National Geographic, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, GQ, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and Food & Wine, among others. Each offers a unique lens on storytelling, culture, aesthetics, and business—elements that directly influence my own work.
These outlets help me stay sharp creatively and strategically. Whether it’s a compelling photo spread, a well-crafted headline, or an in-depth article about branding or entrepreneurship, I’m always studying what makes content resonate. I view these platforms not just as sources of inspiration, but as benchmarks for quality and impact.
