Hi Julie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi guys ! My name is Julie Tuzet, I am a French singer-songwriter & model ! I have been modeling for the past 10 years and get signed with Next models in LA which brought me here ! Now I am traveling a lot for my job but I truly enjoy working in Los Angeles. This city reunites my passion for music & modeling ! It’s a city where everything is possible ! I love meeting new artists, jamming together, watching the recording process, shooting with new talented photographers etc…
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are always struggles along the way but they are what makes you who you are ! Everything in life teaches you something. To be able to work in the United States as a model and get your O1 visa you need what we call « Tear sheets ». At least 150 jobs, magazine covers, editorials, campaigns etc !!! So it takes a while before coming here ! I had to develop my career in Europe first and I am really grateful to be where I am now.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a model, singer-songwriter & a student in artistic direction. I am passionate about Quantum physics, i play the drums and I love to break dance/Hip-Hop dance, I have been training a lot to be able to dance more in my music videos. I started modeling when I was 13 years old and writing songs from the age of 18y/0 ! I also built a community along the way on social media ( Instagram & TikTok ) where I share about my life, my modeling&music journey but also where I share my mindset, my vision of life and where I give advices about personal growth. I always been into personal development and I love to motivate my community to become their best selves and reach their dreams ! I want to inspire people as much as I can, raise their vibrations with my music and share with them my way of living and how I take care of myself as much physically as mentally.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I always been creative, I always loved to move, to sing, to write, to dance & to laugh.
I would say that I always had a really positive personality because I always cherished the simple things of life. I don’t take nothing for granted and I appreciate even the little things that for me are what truly matter on the long run. My mom is a Hollistic therapist so I was lucky enough to learn from her and grow internally/reflect on myself a lot.
I started playing the drums when I was 8 years old and it quickly became a way to express myself ! My first songs were inspired by my love life obviously like a good teenager I always loved to feel dramatic like if my life was a movie hahaha
It became something really therapeutic for me and I moved on to writing about life topics that mattered to me and that I felt would make a lot of people relate. Every and each of my songs are about my personal life which can feel a bit vulnerable sometimes but I like it !
