Rising Stars: Meet Jordan Sweet of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Sweet

Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Jordan Sweet’s journey is one of creative evolution and strategic brilliance. From the tender age of 10, I’ve been immersed in the world of acting and modeling, inspired by my late cousin, Simone Battle, a former member of the girl group G.R.L. My passion for entertainment and creativity sparked at ProScout, where I was scouted and later signed by Babes n Beaus Talent Agency. Over the years, I honed my craft, attending auditions and industry events, while also refining my own unique sense of style and storytelling.

While my early years in the entertainment industry were pivotal, my story took a transformative turn when I pursued a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago, specializing in Digital Marketing & Promotions. My education gave me the opportunity to blend my creative instincts with strategic marketing expertise, helping me break into the digital space in a way that felt authentic to my artistic roots.

Today, I stand as a prominent digital marketing strategist, content creator, and model/actor. With notable partnerships under my belt—such as Marc Nolan, Levi’s, and the prestigious Hoorae Media x Walmart Creator Kit—I bring a unique perspective to the table. My work doesn’t just elevate brands; it inspires culture, pushing creative boundaries while making meaningful connections with audiences.

Now signed with BMG (Chicago, LA, ATL), I seamlessly merge my experience in entertainment with my marketing prowess, continuing to shape the digital landscape. Whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes, I am a dynamic force in both the entertainment and marketing industries—always innovating, always connecting, and always pushing the envelope to make a lasting impact.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to where I am today has not been without its challenges. My freshman year of college in February 2019, amidst the onset of COVID-19, felt like everything I had worked for since the age of 10 was slipping away. The world was uncertain, and so was my future. Faced with these overwhelming obstacles, I made the difficult decision to move back home with my mother, transferring from Hampton University to a community college. I refocused my efforts, earning my associate’s degree in business—an important pivot that marked the birth of Influencer Jordan Sweet.

During this time, I leaned into the world of digital marketing and content creation, forming partnerships with major brands such as Warner Bros., Lemon Perfect, and Magnlens. These collaborations fueled my passion and gave me the drive to continue expanding my presence, working with photographers across Los Angeles to build my portfolio.

When the world finally began to open up again, I seized the opportunity to study abroad in Milan, Italy, where I combined my marketing education with the IES Abroad Fashion Design & Merchandising Program. There, I interned as a social media and fashion stylist at VirgoImage and was fortunate enough to be featured as a signed model in prestigious publications like Vogue and Vanity Fair during SS22 Milan Fashion Week. This experience solidified my belief in the power of manifestation and taught me to trust that anything is possible when you stay focused and keep faith in your dreams.

My community, affectionately known as “Supa Stars,” has been instrumental in my journey. Their unwavering support has proven to me that my audience is not just numbers—they’re loyal, engaged, and ready to back me in every partnership and collaboration. Today, I have the privilege of using my platform to form meaningful relationships with businesses, brands, and companies that align with my values and aspirations.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a digital marketing strategist, content creator, and model/actor with a strong focus on social media and creative direction. I’m recognized for my influential social media presence, my role as a socialite, and my work in modeling.

One of my proudest accomplishments is my recent feature with Babybel as a Babybelf for their holiday ad campaign.

I also take great pride in having walked in Milan Fashion Week and being featured in Vogue and Vanity Fair—landmarks in my modeling career that solidified my place in the fashion world. Another milestone I cherish is being selected as a recipient of the Hoorae Media x Walmart Creator Kit, which has provided me with valuable opportunities to expand my reach and continue creating meaningful content.

What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between creative direction and execution. Whether I’m on set as a model or strategizing behind the scenes, I’m passionate about crafting compelling stories that resonate with audiences and elevate brands. My unique approach, combining creativity with strategic insight, allows me to continuously push boundaries and make a lasting impact in the industry.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding a mentor is all about fostering genuine connections and being open to learning from others. For me, being a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has helped me build meaningful relationships with individuals who not only share a commitment to excellence but also actively support those around them. These relationships have proven invaluable for both personal and professional growth.

Social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram have also played a significant role in expanding my network. LinkedIn, in particular, is an excellent tool for connecting with professionals who can potentially become mentors. It’s important to engage authentically with those you admire, rather than just sending a connection request. Building a relationship through consistent, thoughtful engagement is key.

Instagram, on the other hand, allows for a more personal connection. By sharing content that resonates with your brand and values, you naturally attract individuals with similar interests. You can connect with potential mentors in a more informal yet impactful way by participating in discussions, collaborating on projects, or simply sharing insights. Both platforms have been essential in helping me find mentors and like-minded individuals who have guided me along the way.

Additionally, attending events and being involved in activities that push you beyond your comfort zone allows you to meet people who can become great mentors. These experiences not only put you in the right spaces but also help you form relationships with people who can guide you to the next level.
