Rising Stars: Meet JHAYM of LA Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to JHAYM.

Hi JHAYM, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela — a city full of contrast, color, and heart. Growing up there taught me to be creative with what I had, to dream big even when circumstances weren’t ideal. From a young age, I felt a deep connection to art in all its forms, but it was music that truly opened up my world. It helped me understand that self-expression can heal, connect, and transform.

My passion for music naturally led me to explore other creative outlets — fashion, video, photography, and storytelling. I started creating content with no fancy equipment, just my phone, a lot of ideas, and a genuine desire to share something real. What some might see as just posting a video was, for me, a way to channel emotions, tell stories, and represent people who don’t always feel seen.

Over time, social media became more than just a hobby. It turned into a platform for growth, connection, and the chance to show that you can start with nothing and still go far, as long as you lead with heart. That’s how I began collaborating, developing my own style, and realizing that my voice — my perspective — has a place in this industry.

I’ve also Lived in Ecuador where a big part of this journey started. It pushed me to grow, adapt, and continue creating from a place of honesty. It showed me that no matter where you are, if your vision is clear and your intention is strong, you can build something meaningful.

Today, my content reflects all of that — identity, diversity, and authenticity. I aim to inspire, especially young men who, like me, once felt like they didn’t quite fit in. I want them to know there is space for them, for us, and that it’s okay to be different. This story is just beginning, and there’s so much more I’m ready to create, share, and dream.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all — it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many creatives, especially coming from a place with limited opportunities like my Hometown, I faced a lot of challenges. At the beginning, I didn’t have the resources, equipment, or even the support that many creators might have access to. It was just me, trying to figure everything out while staying true to what I wanted to express.

There were moments of doubt, frustration, and comparison — wondering if what I was doing was enough, if people would even care, or if I’d ever be seen. And of course, moving to another country came with its own set of struggles — adapting, starting over, trying to find my place again.

But every struggle has taught me something. They’ve made me stronger, more grounded, and more connected to my purpose. I’ve learned that growth isn’t linear, and success doesn’t come overnight. But if you keep showing up with love for what you do, you’ll find your way. That mindset has kept me going, even in the hardest moments.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Absolutely! I’m a content creator who works at the intersection of fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and storytelling. I specialize in creating visually engaging, emotionally driven content — whether it’s a TikTok video, an Instagram reel, or UGC for brands. My style blends authenticity with aesthetics, and I always aim to deliver something that feels real, intentional, and relatable.

I’m probably most known for how I show up as myself — especially as a young man navigating spaces that are often dominated by other voices. I bring a fresh, honest perspective to fashion and skincare, with a focus on representation and self-expression. I don’t just create for the algorithm — I create for the people who want to feel seen, inspired, and confident in their own identity.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come by staying true to who I am. I’ve built a presence from scratch, worked with brands I once only dreamed of, and connected with people who see themselves in my content.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend vulnerability with vision — I tell stories, not just trends. I don’t just create content — I create connection.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see myself evolving alongside the industry over the next 5–10 years by continuing to lead with authenticity, creativity, and emotional storytelling. I believe the future of content will belong to those who can build real, human connections — and that’s exactly what I focus on.

My goal is to keep expanding my work across platforms, collaborating with brands in ways that feel meaningful, and pushing boundaries in how we represent beauty, fashion, and self-expression — especially for men who haven’t always felt included in those conversations.

Music has always been a huge part of who I am, and in the near future, I’m looking forward to launching my own music. It’s something I’ve been working on for a while, and I can’t wait to share it with my audience. I see music and content creation going hand-in-hand, where my tracks will not only reflect my journey but will also help elevate the storytelling aspect of my brand.

I also envision combining music with fashion, digital storytelling, and collaborations — bringing everything I do under one creative umbrella. I’m not just following trends; I’m actively shaping my own path, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
