Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Gold
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born in Compton, CA in the 70’s, I have spent the past 2 decades as a runner, cyclist, tri-athlete and sports massage therapist here in Palm Springs. I have worked as the Dir. of Massage Therapy at a local school and lead a team of massage instructors, graduating over 100 massage therapists.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Diagnosed with scoliosis as a child, I learned early to embrace movement and self-care. My journey led me to found Grounded—a haven promoting self-care and local partnerships for curated experiences. Grounded embodies calming spaces and advanced services, reflecting my commitment to holistic well-being. I am grateful for the journey and the struggles along the way. I believe it has made me a stronger leader and Grounded what it is today.

I enjoy creating spaces that evolve and grow, adding layers of warmth and meaning over time. It’s that unique ambiance you experience when you enter Grounded Bodyworks—a blend of feelings that envelops you.
Grounded Bodyworks had humble beginnings in my instructor Constantine’s classroom. He cultivated a space for us to learn and heal during a challenging period in my life. His words, “Jennifer, you need to be grounded,” have always stayed with me.
Over the years, our Grounded space has expanded, adding many layers to create the nurturing atmosphere you feel today. It’s infused with love, patience, kindness, empathy, and, most importantly, a healing energy we all need. We cherish working in such a serene environment and love hearing our guests say they can feel the love and care we’ve put into this space.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as the ability to create a positive impact on the lives of others while staying true to my values and passions. It’s not just about achieving financial milestones or personal accolades, but about fostering a sense of community, inclusivity, and well-being. At Grounded Bodyworks, success is seen in the smiles of our guests, the sense of fulfillment in our team, and the healing atmosphere we’ve cultivated.
Success, to me, also means continuous growth and adaptation—constantly seeking ways to improve and innovate while maintaining the core principles of empathy, kindness, and love. It’s about building a sustainable business that supports its employees, uplifts the community, and provides a sanctuary for all who walk through our doors. Ultimately, success is measured by the positive changes we inspire and the lasting relationships we build.
