Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Taylor.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started working at Chambers shoe Shine and Repair 1 summer when I was a little girl. I was about 11 years old, I would come down with my grandfather and watch him get his shoes shined. I liked making money at such a young age that even when the summer was over, I sacrificed my Saturdays to keep going to work so that I could by the things I wanted. Fast forward 21 years and I am still working in the same establishment. RUNNING THE SHOW.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road Chambers was established in 1955 by the original owner Thomas Chambers then passed in the late 80s. Then the shop was taken over By His Daughter Gwen and Son in law Stephen Randolph who ran the business for an additional 30 plus years before he decided to retire in June of 2022.

The work that Chambers puts out speaks for itself being in business for over 65 years in history we are known for great customer service and the famous Chambers spit shine. In later years we became known for putting the Vibram 100 Lug on to the well know old school Stacy Adams Madison cap-toe aka the Biscuts.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
A lot of times people just think that I am just the girl that takes the money behind the counter but I also work in the Cleaning and Restoration department giving people shoes life again.
