Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamaal Lewis.
Hi Jamaal, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up a short overweight kid in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I always wanted to be an athlete but didn’t exactly fit the mold. I ended up playing the tuba at Eagleview middle school. Going into eighth-grade year, I ended up transferring and hitting a growth spurt over the summer which resulted in me growing a foot. I ended up getting a full-ride football scholarship to Arizona State University which was an amazing experience. If you would have told me Growing up that I would have been where I’m at today, I probably would’ve laughed in your face.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road but I think that’s what life is all about. Because with no struggles, obstacles or mistakes, there’s no growth.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Model and Actor. I’ve been seen in billboards in Times Square, National commercials and in theater. The thing I’m most proud of is staying true to my faith and moral fibers along the way.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
No matter what you are doing in life, just keep going. The harder the goal, the sweeter the victory.
