Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Shamooelian.
Hi Gabriella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely. My journey really began during my pre-med years, which were incredibly intense. I was a classic overachiever—juggling a competitive academic load with very little sleep, lots of caffeine, and a diet of mostly processed foods because I just didn’t have the time or energy to cook. After a trip to India where I contracted a parasite, my already stressed body hit a breaking point. My gut became severely inflamed, and it served as a major wake-up call after college that something had to change.
I started slow—green smoothies and daily walks were my entry point. From there, I began diving deep into holistic health in my spare time, reading everything I could about gut health, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine. Eventually, I made the leap, left the corporate world, and committed fully to this path. Since graduating with my BS in Biopsychology, I’ve gone back to school and earned three certifications in Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching, Advanced Hormone Health, and Advanced Gut Health. It’s been a full-circle transformation, and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—it’s actually been a pretty bumpy road, and honestly, when people hear my story, they’re sometimes shocked or even feel bad. But I don’t. I look back at old photos and remember how inflamed, bloated, and unwell I felt. Friends would often tell me how I was always mentioning stomach issues or discomfort, and it was clear that something wasn’t right.
That wake-up call ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. It pushed me to completely reevaluate my lifestyle and health. More than that, it gave me purpose—to take charge of my own well-being and empower other women to do the same. I truly believe we all deserve to live in vibrant health, and prevention is everything.
Now, I get to do the work I love every single day. I always wanted to help people, and now I’m able to do that in a way that feels aligned—outside of a rushed clinical setting, with the time and space to truly connect. I create customized, bio-individual plans and work with clients on a deeper level. Many come to me for things like bloating or wanting to lose a little weight, but we often uncover so much more—stress, relationship dynamics, identity, career fulfillment. I love that I get to explore these layers with people and support real, lasting change—on and off the plate.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work primarily with girls and women, guiding them toward a sustainable, non-diet, non-toxic lifestyle. In my practice, I don’t use restrictive methods like calorie counting or food weighing—instead, I focus on helping clients build a healthy, nourishing relationship with food and their bodies. I believe that how we eat is just as important as what we eat.
My four main areas of specialization are gut health, hormone health, sustainable weight loss, and overall healthy living. What sets my approach apart is that I look at the whole person—not just what’s on their plate, but also what’s going on off the plate. That includes their relationships, sense of self, spirituality, career satisfaction, home environment, and finances. All of these elements play a role in our well-being, and I make space for them in my coaching.
In addition to one-on-one coaching, I also lead monthly collaborations, workshops, and group coaching series, which I absolutely love. I’m most proud of the real, lasting transformations my clients experience—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. Seeing someone reclaim their energy, confidence, and joy is incredibly fulfilling, and I feel honored to be a part of that journey.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few ways to work with me! I offer private 1:1 coaching for women and girls who are ready to take a deeper dive into gut health, hormone balance, sustainable weight loss, and overall well-being. My approach is personalized and focused on creating long-term lifestyle shifts—both on and off the plate.
I also run group coaching series throughout the year, which are perfect for those who love learning and growing in a supportive, community-based environment. These often include themed programs, workshops, and guided challenges.
For those interested in collaborating—whether it’s co-hosting events, podcasts, wellness panels, or corporate wellness programming—I’m always excited to connect with like-minded individuals and brands who are passionate about integrative health and empowerment.
As a special offering for this audience, I’m happy to gift a free 50-minute initial consultation. Even this first call often feels eye-opening and therapeutic for many people, as we take time to explore the bigger picture of what’s going on in their life and health.
You can also support my work by sharing it, referring others, or simply starting a conversation. I truly believe in the ripple effect of empowered, educated women—and every connection contributes to that mission.
