Rising Stars: Meet Estefania Krol based in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Estefania Krol

Hi Estefania, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Estefania Kröl, a versatile visual artist and director originally from Argentina, now based in Los Angeles. I seamlessly integrate my extensive musical background into my distinctive artistic vision. I’ve had the privilege of creating unique pieces for renowned artists such as The Killers, Father John Misty, Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry (Aerosmith), and Maroon 5. I also exhibit my personal collections across Los Angeles.

In my work, I use chiaroscuro mixed-media designs, photography, and film to blend minimalist and industrial-baroque styles. I invite viewers to see the world through my eyes, exploring themes of duality and contrast—hope and despair, light and darkness, isolation, and psychological complexities.

Through my storytelling, I aim to inspire reflection and emotional connection, encouraging individuals to engage deeply with these themes in pursuit of clarity and collective understanding.

I also started KRÖLHAUS, a network of incredible talents in the visual world. KRÖLHAUS works like an agency but we like to call it a creative house, providing any visual need in the entertainment industry and currently expanding into other areas. Besides my personal work and projects, I direct and oversee KRÖLHAUS projects from conception to finish. We focus on creative ideas and their implementation, bringing music to life in a unique poetic way. It’s a house of creativity, art, and post-production.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been smooth. I moved to Los Angeles just a few months before the pandemic, which meant facing lockdown, a world in fear and isolation, social changes, industry changes, and personal adjustments—all while being new and alone in a foreign country. On top of that, I’ve encountered some not-so-good people along the way, making things even more challenging. Los Angeles can be charming, but it can also be tough. Being a woman in my 30s trying to get recognized for my art and hard work hasn’t been easy, either. I think I don’t even have to tell you why; you all know the answer.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I don’t like to confine myself to any specific category, but if I had to sum it up, I’d say I’m an artist who loves to tell stories from my perspective. I specialize in visual storytelling, whether through a single image, a design, or a film. Working closely with my rep, Randi Wilens from RW Media, has immersed me in the music video scene, where I’m diving into directing and storytelling. It’s a world I’m exploring and truly enjoying.

I have many remarkable milestones in my career. I began as a journalist, interviewing major bands like The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, and Blur. Eventually, I transitioned into being the creative force behind musical artists and had the chance to work with Johnny Depp (with Hollywood Vampires, alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry), creating visuals for his tour—a dream come true, working with my childhood idol!

One of my proudest achievements is to still be alive—just kidding! What I’m most proud of is having built my own world. I don’t aim to fit into every mold or be liked by everyone; instead, I seek to connect with those interested in my vision. I’m all about blending my ideas with others and creating something meaningful together.

What’s next:

My first art installation is currently on display in Downtown Denver, Colorado. It’s a mapping projection that will be displayed in the middle of the city every night for one month as part of the Night Lights Denver event.

I’m also over the moon about an upcoming release—a collaboration with Father John Misty. The new music video is coming up real soon!

Also, the exhibit for my ‘Quietud’ photography collection is coming up soon. It features stills from LA corners that transmit calmness, induce you to breathe, and embrace solitude.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The word “happy” is a bit elusive for me, but if I had to describe what makes me feel good at this point in my life, I’d say it’s tranquility. Finding inner peace and calmness is incredibly fulfilling. Also, as a wine enthusiast, a good glass of wine definitely brings me joy.
